I’m really impressed with this mini sander. It’s small enough to fit perfectly on my workbench but packs a ton of power. The adjustable speeds make it easy to switch between sharpening knives, polishing metal, or sanding small wood pieces. It runs smoothly with very little noise or vibration, which I really appreciate. I originally bought this knife sharpener for my stainless steel kitchen knives, but I’ve ended up using it for a lot more. The price point is excellent for what you get, it’s powerful and compact enough to handle detailed work. I’ve used it to polish small metal parts for my car, and it does an amazing job bringing dull pieces back to a shine. For knives, it gives a clean, sharp edge without overheating the metal, and with a little care, you can get professional results. For polishing, it’s great for touch-ups and restoring finish on small metal parts. Overall, it’s a solid, affordable tool that works better than expected for both sharpening and polishing jobs. Highly recommend if you want something budget-friendly but surprisingly capable.

It's nice for small knives but for bigger blades and bigger projects it's way too small.

I purchased the Blissthrill mini belt sander because of the portability and combination versatility of the unit. I’m using it to sharpen and restore knives, as well as minor woodworking. The motor speed is impressive, the belt is fairly even and smooth, the stone grinder and buffing wheel also work fine, as expected. However, the build of the unit has a big flaw, the plastic plug female end was not attached to the unit. So it basically when you go to unplug the power supply from portable unit, it tugs and pulls on the attached wires, risking disconnecting the soldered wiring. This obviously failed factory QC check. A screw in piece was missed during factory assembly. The only way to repair this problem is to desolder all the wires and find the proper screw in piece for the power connector. The belt sander works fine as expected, but the unit has a major build fault as noted. I hate to return the unit as I need to finish a project, but a fix is not easy…

I got this belt sander to remove the rust and sharpen my machete. It did a great job in removing the rust and leaving it like if it were brand new. It is also not too heavy and performs very well. I also enjoy that it is not too expensive either. Overall, I recommend this product for anyone that has rusty tools lying around.

I picked up the Blissthrill mini belt sander mainly for small-scale metal shaping and wood detail work, and it’s been a surprisingly capable addition to my workbench. It’s compact, runs smooth, and comes with more accessories than I expected for the price. The first thing that stood out to me was the build quality. The frame is solid stainless steel—not cheap stamped metal—and it feels durable even though it’s small. It doesn’t take up much space, which is a big plus when you’ve already got a cluttered bench. Even so, I stick it under my workbench on one of the shelves. Performance-wise, the motor is strong enough for light-duty tasks. I’ve used it on knife blanks, resin, and a few pieces of hardwood trim. The 7-speed adjustment (from 4000 to 9000 RPM) is great for dialing in just the right amount of bite. For precision work, having that kind of control has made a difference for me in a couple of my projects already. Until now, I only had an old, larger belt sander, the kind with a 4 x 36 belt. Some of the toys in my garage shop can make a whole lot of noise, but this sander is reasonably quiet, doesn’t vibrate much so it doesn’t rattle around and it handles my projects without seeming like it's getting bogged down under the pressure of a heavy load. I wouldn’t call it industrial-grade, but it’s more than enough for the kind of projects I tackle. It came with a generous pack of sanding belts and discs in various grits, plus a few polishing accessories that I’ve started testing out on metal. There’s also a polishing wheel, some compound, and even a motor cover, that’s a nice little touch. For the money, it’s a complete little sander kit. The one thing I had to address was the stability. It’s light, which makes it easy to move, but I had to mount it down to keep it from sliding when applying any real pressure. Once bolted, no problems. Pros: -Smooth operation with adjustable speed -Plenty of sanding belts and polishing accessories included -Takes up very little space on the bench -Well-built from 304 stainless steel -Good control for detail work Cons: -Needs to be secured for stable use -Not designed for large or heavy-duty jobs For what it’s designed to do—detail work, knife shaping, small wood or metal sanding—it absolutely delivers. If you're into hands-on projects and want a small, reliable sander at a very good price that won’t break the bank, this one’s worth it. I love it and you just might too.
