Picked up this Grimtron 40-Key Lock Box for our crew and it’s been a solid addition to the shop. The build is sturdy — heavy steel, smooth locking system, and plenty of space for labeling and organizing keys. The different access modes make it easy to keep things secure while still letting the right people get what they need. Installation was simple, and it’s holding up great in a work environment where durability actually matters. If you’re in construction or manage multiple vehicles and job sites, this thing’s a lifesaver. Dependable, organized, and built like a tank. Plus it was one of the better priced options available! Highly recommend!!!

The item is quite sturdy and heavy, but the spacing between the hooks to hang the keys is narrow and you cannot get 40 keys to lay flat and the key tag plus a long key doesn't work. I had to space mine every other hook. Otherwise it is a nice box if you don't have too many keys. Update on product: The company reached out to me and apologized they did not leave a more accurate description. I am very impressed that they care. I have changed my review as I have stated it is a very well built product and will just put a few less keys in it. They said they will work on the design.

Hardest part was deciding on a pass code -- (the numbers are 1 to 7). It was easy to hang on the wall, easy to set the code. We didn't set up an alternate temporary code. Those directions were a little confusing.

I have just received the key lock box. It was easy to program and mount on a wall. I like the number of options to code for different purposes. The number of backup options to be able to access the box if something goes wrong is great. When I attempted to get an extra key because we wanted more than one person to have a key, they have been extremely helpful. I'm anxious to see how the people who use it find it.

So far a very good product. Easy to mount and use. We found the included key tags very helpful.

It's alright for keeping all your keys together, but it's definitely not going to keep anyone from stealing your keys if they want them. The metal is quite thin and would be easy to break in to just using a screwdriver. Also, I was not able to get the default code to change to a custom code. It's stuck on the default. That's okay for me, because it's only being used to keep all my keys in one place. If you want something really secure, you're going to have to spend a lot more money. Also, the keys on the keypad feel really cheap and almost like they are going to fall off if you push them too hard. And as others have mentioned, it only comes with one key for the manual lock. That's kind of lame too.

Positioning of the key hooks could have been slightly higher as the bottom row gets caught when closing
