This works well. Less effort.
Very practical poached egg cooker. Took a couple of times to get used to it, but in the end the result was great. Eggs did not spread outside of the containers.

Wonderful Soft-Boiled Eggs
This is the perfect accessory for my Our Place everything pans. It makes soft boiled eggs beautifully and the cleanup of quick and easy. It can store flat on a shelf waiting for the next use.

It's OKAY
Love the concept. I love my pan so much and use it daily. However, the poacher isn't the greatest. I've followed the directions and left the eggs in the water for 7 minutes as directed, I've tried tweaking the formula, but I just can't get my eggs correct consistently.

Get silicon rather than these
Didn’t love these egg cups like I hoped. Was difficult to get the eggs out and recommended timing was way off.

Takes some practice
My spouse and kids are crazy in love with Eggs Benedict in which I have dreaded making them because the eggs are never consistent. I have watched video after video, cooking on TV, chefs at restaurants, but still could master the egg. The closest I have gotten is with the “swirly twirl” method, which when trying to make other items to go with the eggs, I don’t have time to sit there and swirl the water. So when I saw this on Amazon I thought, “well it’s one and last thing I haven’t tried” so I grabbed it. Let me say I'm super glad I did. This silicone egg poacher has been unbelievable when it comes to poaching eggs. I will say it takes practice, but now I think I’ve finally mastered how to make them. I didn’t realize when I grabbed this that there was a certain type of pan that “ Our Place” makes that works with this. However, I was able to use a pan that I already have and it works perfectly. I did want to point out that I noticed there was a difference in how the eggs turned out based of the age of the eggs. The fresher eggs seem to do better at poaching and the timing to cook them was less. The older eggs took a little bit longer to cook. The temperature made a bit of a difference as well on whether doing a rolling boil or a full boil. I believe you’re technically supposed to lower the heat or even turn off the heat completely, but I kept mine on. I felt the eggs cooked better for me that way, but every stove top is different in how it cooks. As I mentioned, it takes some practice so you might have to try different things to find out what works for you. Once you’re all done with cooking and using these they clean up very well. I simply wash mine by hand using a scrub brush to get into the holes then let them it air dry. Once they’re all dry I place them back in the box and store them until next time. That’s the only thing I wish was a different - storing them. I would’ve preferred to store them without the box, but since the "cups" are not attached to anything, it’s hard to store them without the box. Overall, I really do like this silicone egg poacher. As I said, it takes practice, but once I found what worked best based on my stove and the eggs I buy, etc. I’m glad I picked this up.

Wow, they actually work. Old eggs are worse with this.
I had tried my hand in poached eggs a few months back and I think I've had some pretty good success with it. I had vinegar available, which you'll still want. I had the vortex down and I knew that the fresher the eggs the better. But what I didn't like was the constant monitoring and need for perfection in order to get a good poached egg. On a Saturday with kids lurking this is challenge. I couldn't tell you the number of times I told my kids that they waited too long to ask me for breakfast and now they needed to wait for dad to finish. These don't alleviate that, but they allow much more room for error. Even a certain level of laziness is permitted here. I tested 3 eggs, of varying freshness and got 3 different results. We had fresh eggs from chickens. We had a fresh dozen from the store the day before, since my wife or kids wont eat fresh chicken eggs and we had 1 egg left over from a prior dozen. All 3 went into the pan at the same time. Fresh egg: Turned out great. I didn't have to deal with a vortex and I could make 3 eggs at once and still have them separated. Less fresh egg: Turned out really well. Did lose some volume compared to fresh egg. Not so fresh: I lost a lot of mass through the holes on the sides and bottom. The egg came out cooked and edible but was in a weird non-circular shape. I feel with the traditional method, yes old eggs arent recommended but you can work it out. But with this, I would say highly NOT recommended as there is no swirl to keep them together and the tiny holes dont do you any favors either. I love poached eggs and one of my complaints is the constant monitoring and that if I want more than 1, which I always do, one egg has to sit while I cook the other unless I wanted to get out another pot/pan. This is a great alternative in situations where I dont have time to prep or constantly monitor.

I used it once and followed the instructions to a T. Didn’t work, no! Will I use it again. No. Stick to how you make poached eggs because it will be better than this. Other than that it’s a well made product.
