Good quality; pockets a bit small.
This review is for the Custom LeatherCraft 1173 32-Pocket Socket Tool Roll Pouch. As noted by others, the stitching and materials used in this pouch are very good.I found that some of the pockets were not as large as I would like (fewer, larger pockets would meet my specific needs better than more, smaller pockets). Of course this is a matter of personal preference, but buyers should be aware.I cannot comment on the ease with which sockets may fall out of the end pockets when the pouch is rolled up - I am not carrying sockets in this pouch.I have loaded 3 straight blade screwdrivers and 3 Philips head screwdrivers of various lengths, 2 jewelers screwdrivers, 1 medium sized Channel Lock pliers, 1 medium sized adjustable wrench, 1 needle nosed pliers, 1 bundle of zip tie wraps, 1 Ziploc bag containing 6' of 12 gauge electrical wire and 6' of safety wire, 1 tire air gauge, 1 small pouch of Allen wrenches of various sizes, 1 Leatherman multi-tool (in it's own pouch), and have plenty of room to spare. (The caveat being that some of the "room to spare" includes pockets which are small and, perhaps, would not hold large items). Still to be added are automobile fuses and electrical tape, but there is ample room. The entire kit rolled up very nicely and is well secured by the attached straps with quick-release type connectors. Gaining access to the tools is a very quick process - release the connectors, unroll the pouch and "Bob's Yer Uncle".This is designed to be my "in town" took kit carried in my Jeep (thus I don't feel the need for a full set of sockets). Of course the "real" tool kit in town is a cell phone and a credit card <g>, but I always feel better when I have at least a smattering of tools available. Off road requires a totally different level of tools and supplies to be schlepped (where cell phones and credit cards may be of little use), but this pouch allows me the comfort of having a minimal tool set available while not paying the weight penalty of carrying a large set of tools.(A bonus, if one owns a Jeep Commander, is that the roll neatly fits into the left rear wheel well cargo net area, almost as if built for it).Not everyone, of course, will use this pouch as an automobile basic tool kit; however I believe it would well serve anyone's purpose (with the caveat that sockets may fall out of the pockets!) in carrying about a small number of tools. Considering that it is a roll up pouch, however, I don't think I would comfortable in storing any type of multi-meter, Cat-5 continuity tester, etc. There simply isn't enough protection for carrying such gear.Once bundled up there is absolutely no rattling, clanking, etc., and the built in carry handle works very well.Recommended.Jim

Durable and great for stopping my tools in the car from clanking
The CLC Custom Leathercraft Socket Tool Roll Pouch has proven to be an absolute lifesaver for me when it comes to organizing and securing my car toolkit. As someone who's often on the road, the last thing I want is to have my tools rattling around in the trunk. This pouch has become my go-to solution for keeping everything snug and secure. The durability of this tool roll pouch is truly impressive. It can handle the wear and tear of being thrown into the trunk, jostled around, and still keeps my tools in place without any issues. The multiple pockets and adjustable straps make it easy to customize the organization of your tools. It's a simple yet highly effective solution for keeping your car toolkit tidy and quiet. If you're tired of the constant clatter in your trunk and want a durable and dependable tool roll pouch, this tool pouch is the way to go. It's a small investment that delivers big on organization and peace of mind.

Great for Portable Tool Organization
I rarely work on any cars in my own driveway, so I generally need to look for creative ways to keep my tools both organized and portable. This means that most of my automotive tools are scattered between cheap plastic toolboxes and organizers that I can easily pick up and toss in my trunk when I'm helping a buddy out with a project or borrowing someone else's driveway to do work on my own car. I've avoided tool rolls in the past since I never trusted their ability to keep things in place, but I finally got fed up with keeping piles of wrenches randomly tossed into plastic bins and decided to give this one a try.On the whole, I'm impressed with the quality of the LeatherCraft 1173 and generally satisfied with its utility. I'm making use of it to store a full set x-beam ratcheting wrenches along with some flare wrenches, pliers, picks, and a few other miscellaneous tools. As long as the adjustable straps are pulled tight, the tools (both large and small) are held in place tightly and not in any danger of tumbling out with normal usage. The pockets are reasonably sized, but it may be difficult to find tools that really fit well in everything provided. That said, small tools are held in the larger pockets just fine once the roll is snapped shut. The whole thing ends up being fairly compact when rolled up.The socket holder is the only real weak point in the package, and I'm currently not using it at all. Sockets are held in well and the velcro cover flap is fine, but the pockets are so deep as to be totally useless. Sockets are completely hidden in the pockets and removing them, especially if you happen to be wearing gloves, is a huge hassle. With some proper labeling I can see the socket holder section being useful for an emergency toolkit that's used only very infrequently (or, as is usually the case with emergency toolkits in modern cars, never), but not for regular usage. None of this would really matter, except for the fact that the socket holder obscures a few of the interior pockets when the roll is lying flat, making the whole thing just a tiny bit less convenient to use.If you're looking for a way to keep things organized and portable, this is a good solution. My limited experience with tool rolls means that I can't necessarily compare it to similar products, but the construction is solid and it does what it's designed to do at a very cheap price.

Good… but BucketBoss was better
Don’t get me wrong this tool wrap is good and has a place to store individual sockets which the BucketBoss doesn’t…. But the overall product didn’t match its competitor.

It doesn't wrap up
Couldn't figure out how to fix the clips, couldn't get it wrap up and put clip on to secure like it supposed to.

Highly recommend this product, I researched the heck out of this and bought and compared two top choices, this one won out sligh
I bought this and the bucket boss tool roll at same time in preparation for a cross continent motorcycle trip. Both are very good but it's the custom leather roll that made the short list for the trip. These are the two best quality tool rolls I researched. Both have awesome handles and dual clip closures, both made of tough materials. What put this one a little behind was the tool pockets do NOT have extra web protection at the bottom of the pockets, this will shorten the life of the roll as tool tips will wear thru the bottoms of the pockets. Try and pack sharp ends towards exposed middle of roll to avoid puncturing the pockets. What kept this roll as my first choice was the Velcro pockets at the interior of roll that are made to hold two normal sockets or one deep socket per sleeve. I have 3/8 sockets and torx heads doubled up in the sleeves. They are well trapped and organized. Additionally there is a small extra flap of material at the open end of the roll which helps contain and protect the outer most tools when rolled. Both the Bucket boss and the CLC rolls have nicely arranged pockets for tools with the wider pockets more outboard and thinner pockets in bird for a tighter roll, both are obviously built to last. Both have the middle elastic band keepers. Both are great, but the CLC is just that little bit better for what I needed in compartmentalizations.
