it was pretty easy to install
This system worked really well for us. Luckily there were already wires in the walls from a previous intercom installation, so other than a bit of faff working out which wires were which, it was pretty easy to install. You can generally hear people well and I think you can be heard alright (though I've never personally tested is that way around). One thing I'd say is that it'd be nice to be able to turn the ringing volume down a bit.

Not the most inspiring purchase.
The door opening function failed within half an hour. It is cheap and cheerful. It does require a little skill to install, no control over volume, requires caller to hold button while speaking. Because it is a two wire system it isn't as versatile as more complex systems. I easily made mine fail and now it is unresponsive. There are no technical details regarding use of the remote unlock, this was the first part to fail, I assumed it was a basic switch, bit it appears to be an electronic output. Most remote electronic door openers have s volt free input, ie a basic make to initiate the unlock feature. Shorting the two lock wires operates the electronic door lock. There is no jumpers to set modes. I've ordered another one, as I may have caused the failure. But I don't have great faith in this device. The replacement is now installed and working, but I decided to make a remote door release as the one on the handset is not volt free and would not be correct for my door control. The constant him is a quirky indicator to the power being on, interestingly there is no power led to indicate if the system is live. I may add a small led at some time in the future. The tone select is too prominent allowing to accidentally change the tone, which then means cycling through the large selection of not very unique tunes, which in my opinion, makes it more like a kid's toy. Time will tell if this is a value for money product.

Quite Disappointed
I recently ordered an intercom system and unfortunately, I have been quite disappointed with its performance. The primary issue lies with the outdoor speaker volume, which is significantly too low. There is no option to increase the volume, making it almost impossible for someone to hear clearly unless they are standing right next to the device. This defeats the purpose of having an intercom for convenient communication. I had high hopes for this product, but the low volume makes it impractical for everyday use. I would not recommend this intercom system unless this critical issue is addressed.

Excellent Product
Easy to Install, and audio quality very good. The ding-dong call volume is very loud for most offices, so fitting a 39 ohm resistor in series with earpiece(speaker) solved the problem. Great product for the price.

Great product
Great product. Works brilliantly. Wired 100m from my door at the front gate, the intercom works perfectly. Clear audio and choice of bell sound. If you have a CCTV system in place this is a great way ofadding communicating at your door/gate. Fairly simple to wire and fit. Happy with the product.

works well enough and easy to install but it has a constant buzz
The intercom is easy to install (I have it around 50 metres away at my front gate) and is clear to hear and talk both ends but the handset has a fairly cheap transformer in the plug which creates a constant buzz / hum (some have mentioned replacing the transformer plug for a better quality version stops the noise but that negates using a cheaper system. That being said its cheap as chips so if you're looking for a quality item spend more, I'm happy enough with this system as its only temporary. I haven't installed a gate lock mech so can't comment on this feature.

For Ladies who can DIY you can do it!
This door phone system is hundred times better than the last two intercoms I purchased that where double the price.I like the cover for this outside unit as it protects it from rain and damage. The different chimes sound are fun, and you can speak and hear people who call at the door clearly.I wired it up myself, so a pair of small wire strippers for the bell wire to make a connection makes it easier. You do have to push back the little grey connector inside the phone to make the stripped wire go in.On the outside unit , use a small crosshead screw driver to lift the screw slightly and wrap the wire under the square metal plate to make contact.Repeat this for both. For Ladies who can DIY you can do it ! Just remember that the unit does not come with the bell wire. You can purchase the correct size and width wire on Amazon.Love the little light up name plate that shows outside. Just remove the inside cover and write address and pop the plastic back over.Their is a tiny screw on the underside of the unit that you unscrew so you can get to this feature.Once its all done then finally plug in the socket from the back of the phone. My only downside was that their where no instructions on how to wire it all up.However, if you take your time and use common sense you will be jumping for joy! I was!

Cheap but works great
Yes, the plastic of the handset looks and feels a bit cheap, but that’s exactly what it is…. It’s cheap!!That doesn’t take away from it’s functionality though, installation is super easy, I was replacing a different brand unit that had stopped working, so wiring was in place, all I had to do was make sure I used the colour wires as indicated on both box and included leaflet and done. Can recommend it, sound on both handset and intercom unit outside is good and you can select the ringtone very simple on the handset.
