i have nothing but high praise for this one. manufacturing quality appears every bit as strict as the big brand - for the cost and from experience with other moc brands i expected to find numerous poorly molded pieces. i was wrong, every single piece here is phenomenally well made. iexpected a few extras, instead this included *dozens* of extra pieces. didn't count them, but would guess in excess of 50 random extra pieces. instructions are unique and straightforward, yet not dumbed down to just 1 piece per step. final model is whimsical, and mostly stable although a few details are a bit fragile. all things said: worth every penny and if absolutely buy this brand again.

Got this for my kiddo who loves both parrots and building things and we spent a fun weekend putting it together! The colors are really nice - lots of bright greens and reds that actually look like a real parrot when its done. The tree part is clever with little pink flowers that make it look like spring time. Took us about 3 hours to build (with snack breaks lol) and the finished size is perfect for her desk - not too big but big enough to show off the details. The blocks are tiny which makes it more challenging but also more satisfying when you get it right. My daughter needed help with some of the trickier parts but she was so proud when we finished. Few heads up tho - the pieces are really small so they can be easy to drop (we lost one under the couch for 10 mins) and some of the connections are a bit tight which was tough for her smaller hands. The instructions are mostly pictures which worked ok but we had to backtrack a couple times when we put pieces in the wrong spots. Really like how it looks now that its done - sitting on her bookshelf and everyone who comes over notices it. The branches are a bit delicate so weve had to fix them couple times when dusting but nothing major. My daughter loves showing it off to her friends and telling them she built it herself. Good project for rainy days or quiet weekends when you want something to do together.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Good set on a budget. Bags are numbered but you will need to open up bags in order but at strange times. Directions give 2 different views which is very useful. Overall fun set that looks great

This took two all-nighters to complete. I purposely assembled it very slowly because it is very easy to lose these tiny pieces. Once a piece falls to the floor, it's gone forever. I did not lose any pieces. The model turned out perfect. Several pieces that seemed missing were all found in bag 5--no big deal. Toward the end, instructions called for a square piece but there were only two rectangulars to be used side by side in the shape of a square--no big deal. Tweezers (not included) mandatory. Update: At the very end, when constructing the x-wing spaceship, the thick end of the clear rod needs to be super glued to one of the dot pieces, with exactly one drop of super glue--no big deal. Then the dot piece can snap in or out of the spaceship, if the builder desires to remove it later on. Only use one drop of super glue. These instructions are omitted in the booklet. The one drop of super glue is only necessary for hanging on the wall.

The micro bricks are assembled with a pleasing level of accuracy, and the alignment guide that is given guarantees that even the most complicated portions are able to lock in without any difficulty. Whether I was relaxing down with a cup of hot tea after work or getting together with my adolescent for a build session on a Saturday afternoon, I found that I was engrossed for a considerable amount of time. We worked together to come up with a rotation method that would allow each of us to participate without crowding the workstation. This was a little detail but made the process of working together seem more enjoyable and less stressful. In addition to providing us with sheer fun during construction, the completed piece has converted the wall of our living room into a small diorama that is worthy of being shown in a gallery. The three-dimensional appearance is very impressive when it is mounted on its robust frame. The bricks in the front create dynamic shadows over the portions that are recessed, creating the sense of depth and movement even when seen from a distance. A number of guests stop to examine the minute accessories, which include blaster weapons, sandbag barriers, and the silhouette of a spaceship in the distance, and they comment on the cinematic quality of the picture. When we welcome our friends around, it is a rare joy to have them await the "big reveal" as they gather around for the first revealing of the work that we have done together.
