Feels a little flimsy but, despite that, seems to hold up and perform very well. Plug and play with no issues. Smooth playing and region free.

Opened the box, plugged it in, downloaded a fresh copy of Exact Audio Copy and proceeded to save 250 CD's to my hard drive in FLAC format. Ran without a hitch! Certainly got my $30 worth out of it. (And it still works!)

Update: I had a problem with this unit (as described below), but rather than throw it away immediately I let it sit for several days before trying "one more time." Surprisingly it worked and has been since, so I am upping my rating. Also, it is important to note that the seller reached out the next day offering assistance, so 5 stars for their customer service. I don't know what was causing the problem, but whatever it was, it resolved itself. I only played one DVD and three CDs before it quit working. The drawer would no longer open on its own. After poking a paper clip into the little hole on the front of the drawer to open it manually, it will no longer recognize a CD or DVD. It will initially start spinning, then stops as though nothing is in the drawer. The open/close button will not open the drawer. Extremely disappointed, and of course the return window is closed. Very poor quality and not durable at all.

Worked great to transfer my CD's to my PC easily.

I plugged it into my pc and inserted a dvd. A screen opens titled media player where i selected open disc but nothing happens. According to the demo video, that should not happen. What is wrong here?

Use this to transfer my cd music to a flash drive.

Works well. Rips CD's quickly. I like the way it is set up and it is portable.

Worked seamlessly. Bought a new computer that had no place to install a disc. (I had no idea that they were like this). Had to install my printer and needed an external drive to run the installation CD. Worked like a charm.
