Flawless instant kill trap
A flawless, humane way to deal with a mouse problem! Caught and killed the mouse that was causing havoc for us in three days. It's easy to setup and use. And corpse disposal along with cleanup after is super easy and clean. It's especially good for those who are squeamish. Glue traps make me sick and are very inhumane. Snap traps are unreliable. Poison risks harming other animals. This is the only trap I've found that is 100% and is an instant, painless kill. So, if you've got a soft soul for animals and want to deal with a rodent problem in a reliable, humane way, this is the trap for you! Highly recommended.

The game is on!
I used a Victor electric trap years ago for a backyard rat, so I knew it worked as we caught a big one back then. Recently, I saw mouse droppings under the kitchen sink and found my old trap—unfortunately, it didn’t light up anymore. I figured it was just too old and capacitor might have died, so I ordered this one from Amazon right away. While waiting, I also picked up some Victor snap traps and glue traps of another brand from a local store. Here's how everything performed: Snap trap: Caught 2 mice in the garage over 3 nights. On 2nd night, the bait was licked off but the trap didn’t trigger. I guess it depends on individual trap's sensitiveness. I did find some are more easier to snap when installing them. For the 3rd night, I actually placed 4 traps as 2 pairs side by side. Up on close examination, the peanut butter is gone from the rest of the 3 as well, and the one caught the mouse is the most sensitive one indeed. Electric trap: First night, bait was gone and light was blinking, but no catch. Second night, it worked— we got the mouse. Glue traps: I placed 4 (one under sink and three on the kitchen floor) but caught nothing. I hope it's because we only have that one mouse in the cabinet. Ease of use: Some say the bait area is too small—just put peanut butter on the inside of the flip cover (credit to another reviewer’s photo). And yes, emptying the trap is super easy: flip the lid and drop the mouse out. No mess. Overall, effective and easy to use. Update: Caught another one after two nights without activity. Peanut butter is gone, and the mouse’s head is point to the exit. It’s a smaller size one, if it hopped between the two metal plates, it might have escaped. I think that’s what happened on first day, peanut butter was gone, but nothing got caught. Update 2: Caught another one the first night I moved the electric tap to garage. This little mouse licked peanut butter off two snap traps, but it can’t escape the electric one.

Easy and efficient!
I live in a rural area in an old home- rodents are kind of expected, especially as you get into the colder months. We’re working on sealing up all of the access points outside, and we have two cats, but let me tell you- these traps work fantastic. I bought non-poisonous bait to dab inside the traps in the back corner (there’s a small circle in front of the vented part where to do this), stuck the batteries in, and in the first weekend of use we easily caught 5 mice with the trap! I never noticed a noise, but the catches I’m fairly certain happened overnight. Nothing is sticky- it’s not a glue trap. The light flashes green when it has something in the trap, so it’s very easy to glance over and see if you need to clean it out. To be honest I missed a couple of times where a mouse was caught in some of the more remote spots we set them up, but eventually mother nature let us know (iykyk). Since I do live in a rural area, I’d just throw a vinyl glove on and pick the full trap up, turn it off, and bring it out by the woods to empty it. Pop it open and shake the mouse out (since nothing was poisoned, some other critter outside gets a nice easy snack). I’d then take a couple of cotton swabs dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean out where the bait was and where the mouse was, let it dry and air out, and reset it. The most effective way to set up the trap is to bait it and put it in a quiet room or closet where you think they’re entering up along a wall (there’s hole side next to the wall, not on the outside of the trap) since mice tend to run along the walls. Make sure you check/change the batteries every 6 months (or more often if the traps are getting a lot of action). These traps are fantastic, definitely recommend.

I used to brag on this product! Please see ***** UPDATE*****
I bought this electric mouse trap because I had owned the an older model 15 years ago and it worked flawlessly for years—like having a reliable cat in the house. Unfortunately, the new version has been nothing but a nightmare. No matter how I set it up, the mouse keeps stealing the bait without ever being caught. I even called the company for help, but the representative rushed me off the phone without listening to what I had already tried. I experimented with bait placement in multiple ways inside the trap, only to find the bait gone every time and still no mouse. This has been incredibly frustrating, and I’m now looking for alternatives. A month ago I would have recommended this product wholeheartedly, but after this experience I strongly advise seeking other options. ***** UPDATE***** I called Customer Support a second time, and expressed my frustration, the agent apologized for my experience, and they are standing by their product and sending a replacement. Just a FYI you have one (1) year from date of purchase to have the unit replaced. I will update again when the unit arrives. *****Update***** It arrived about 1 pm, by 7:30ish….In my high pitched voice “Got Eem” I was sitting on the opposite side of the wall where the unit was placed and I heard the shock loud and clear and a smile of relief was on my face! I changed my original preview from a ⭐️ to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I still have to get them for technical Support rushing me off the phone, but they made the situation right. So the lesson is immediately call and request to get a replacement.
