Fisher price box
Lighter than wood and seems sturdy. is big enough to keep patch cables plugged in back with the lids on. Would be better if it sealed air tight, but itās alright.

Very light yet very durable case!
Very light and does the job great! I am on my 2nd Gator case, only reason I had to buy the 2nd is because I decided to downsize to a smaller box for portability. Great case, great construction, light and VERY durable.

A great rack case at excellent price point
This case is used for a portable PA system for my shows. I like the overall look of this case, and it does come with a good supply of rack screws and washers. I also like that there are rack rails in both the front AND back of the case, very handy for adding rear supports to heavier gear like amplifiers. (I'm using a QSC CX model that doesn't need the extra support.) I also like the use of seals in the front and back covers, those will help to keep dust and moisture out. Minor quibbles: The rack rails are not aligned well, only off by a little but still work. Some gear with tighter tolerance in the rack ear screw holes may not want to sit perfectly level in that case. My amp and mixer were able to be set level though. The latches are a bit fussy to engage, but seem of good quality. Time will tell how they really hold up. This case is a lot less expensive than a comparable SKB case, but overall seems as though it will be just as durable. Overall a great value and good investment to protect your gear.

An Absolute Beast
I used this as an IEM rack case for my band for 3 years of gigging. I had the whole thing fully utilized. The case itself is pretty hefty on its own. Due to the weight of the case we were often dropping it at a 6in to 1ft height every time we put it down, which doesn't seem like a lot but it adds up over time. Also due to the weight, the handles do flex, but we have four of these rack cases for my main job and that has never happened before, so its probably from overloading it with too much weight. All in all, every one of these cases that I, my band, or my co-workers touch gets absolutely abused and every single one of them is still sturdy and stable years later.

Great rack, not so great handle!
We purchased this rack for our church a little over a year ago. I was/am happy with the overall quality. It's solidly made and the front and back lids attach with latches that ensure they won't come off accidentally while at the same time being easy to remove when needed. When I first saw the handle I thought to myself, "this seems flimsy". Sure enough just after a year (the warranty is for one year) the handle broke. The retractable part on one side where it slides into itself when closing came apart. The purpose of ordering this particular model was for the rolling capability. To give you an idea of how often it gets used... we currently rent a space in a civic center for our church and have to break everything down after each service. The rack is stored in a closet about 100ft from where it's setup. Twice a week it gets taken out and setup on a table and then after the service the reverse. So that's four trips a week. And this is all indoors on a hard, smooth floor... no bumps, etc. After checking Gator's website I found out even after the one year warranty runs out they will still supply parts. I requested ([...]) a new handle. I received this email within 30 minutes of requesting the replacement handle: ------------------------------------------ Hi Josh, I will be happy to ship this out to you Thank you for using Gator Cases! ------------------------------------------ I'll update this review and let people know how it turned out. ------------------------------------------ UPDATE 4/29/2013 Sorry for the delayed update. Anyway, I ended up receiving the replacement handle in less than a week. The old handle was riveted. A guy who attends my church offered to replace the handle because he had a rivet gun. He said it was pretty simple, but it did require removing all equipment from the case. The handle has been working fine so far. No signs of failure yet.
