Gillette Fusion5 ProGlide Power Razor for Men

This is a great shaving blade, yes it is expensive there's no denying that. But what you get is an extremely close shave, no other blade seems to match this that is commercially available. I shave daily, yes everyday and one blade lasts me at least 4-6 weeks, approximately 30-40 shaves.My suggestion to anyone having issues with blades not allowing a smooth shave, would be ensure you are buying from Amazon directly. Or ensure your purchasing from a reputable authorised "Gillette" reseller. Doing either should greatly reduce the probability of you receiving a fake blade. I've unknowingly purchased copied blades before and they really do make "Gillette" and your face feel sorry.These genuine shaving blades are a class apart and I would have no hesitating in recommending these as a reliable and comfortable daily companion, for manual razor shaving.If you found my review helpful, please click the "Yes" or "Helpful" button to state this so I know its been a help to someone. A superb product that gives you a close accurate shave without damaging skin. The handle is a perfect fit for either left or right hand and the blades have a huge range of movement through an ingenious design of the various components. A well balanced product that excels in every aspect. Well done team.

This was a replacement for a similar item whose battery contacts had become a bit intermittent.I have sensitive skin, and most razors give me a rash. The Fusion 5 Proglide Power razor is far and away the best I've ever used.It isn't cheap though.

I always buy my blades from Amazon as they work out so much cheaper than from the stores. They came in easy to open packaging and were fast to arrive (i ordered at 4pm and they arrived at 11am the next morning)I would recommend getting these blades / razor to anyone wanting a razor which will last a long time and will give a close wet shave. Ive used this for many many years now and wouldn’t change my wet shave razor.

This is both an excellent piece of engineering and relatively expensive. I use in a special razor which also has a battery operated vibration. So when you shave, you get a vibration that goes with it. This has the effect of giving you a very clean and almost effortless shave. I can only talk about my experience, but my eldest son also uses it (early thirties) and enjoys the shave. The result can also depend on your skin I suppose, but I would guess with a good lather it will give the vast majority an excellent shave. Its the closest shave I get and I use a number of other razors too, depending on where I am.

I confess that when this order was delivered sans Gillette's normal packaging (ie the 8 blades were sent packed in their plastic containers only and slotted into a piece of cardboard to separate them as opposed to normal Gillette packaging in a sealed box as supplied at Tesco etc..) I was a little suspicious as to the provenance of the product. However, I am now on week 3 of the first blade and can say thet the quality of the shave now is as good as the first shave 3 weeks ago. Of course I have a further 7 blades to go but the first experience is positive. I will say that I have been using Fusion Power Blades for some time now and it has to be said that they all vary; some are excellent but others leave a lot to be desired. That notwithstanding and being the cheapskate that I am, I always use each blade for 4 weeks without too much trouble.

I find that these blades can last anything from a few days to a couple of weeks and there seems to be no way of telling which is which. Given the price, I would expect consistently high quality blades.In the past when I used to buy these from a supermarket, they'd probably last about 10 days before becoming too blunt but this definitely isn't the case with these.I don't mind paying for quality, but this isn't assured with these blades, so this purchase will be my last of this brand and I'm switching to something less expensive. At least then I won't feel that I've been ripped off if the blade only lasts a few days.
