Disappointed
I read the original book and it changed my whole thinking process..( thinking of tidying is a whole lot easier than de-cluttering or 're-organizing) just wanted a quick look version..not so.. this misses a lot of the joy (and fun)of the process. Get the original book. It's an easy read. Even though I'm not done with the process. If you do what she says it's amazing! I got 10 pair of jeans in one dresser drawer .(trust me I'm not size 1) My bathroom is now tidy. All underwear and socks (20 pair of socks)in one drawer..etc. Get the book by Marie Kondo. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Can't find it. i think this order went to Kindle, but i'm so far in tidying up, i haven't set up the Kindle i bought a year ago. Perhaps one day soon I can contact Amazon's Kindle department for help ... how ironic it happened to this book about Tidying Up - mea culpa!

Book report..boring
Thought that it was gonna be a. Shorter version of her book. Not all the winded version. Instead. It was just someone's. Book. Report. Wasted time and money. Don't bother.

Forget about it
Not really worth the time it took to read it, much less the cost to acquire it. The book on the other hand is a Great Read.

Too short not enough Substance
I loved the book. This weak little analysis doesn't give the book justice. Save your money buy the book instead.

To the point.
I was reading the book, but it was taking longer than I wanted. I had gotten a good start, so Key Takeaways made perfectly good sense.

Fairly good, if obvious, advice with one somewhat new notion: Joy.
Not much help--codifies some common sense. The only new idea, if it's new, is a slogan about keeping only things that bring you joy. Good idea, if hard to quantify or enact. You could probably come up with the same notions yourself if you thought about it in a few moments of calm. I gather that the main obstacle to unburdening oneself of extraneous and energy-sucking possessions is the resolve to do it. This excerpt provides a little motivational sermonette--here's how great things will be if you get going on "tidying up," but I think most people have a pretty good idea of that anyway. All in all, if the full book is just more of the same, with more examples ("Rita X was overwhelmed with her teacup collection. . . ."), then this excerpt or abstract would be the way to go.

Very little useful information
I rarely write negative reviews but this time I just had to vent. This is the first "Instaread" book I've ever bought and it will be my last. I regret wasting the time and money on this book. Although it actually does a good job of summarizing and analyzing Marie Kondo's book, there is very little useful information here. I wish I could get my $2.51 back.

Not a Life Changer
This book is a synopsis of the larger book entitled The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up. If you purchase it with the thought you might get condensed revelations contained in the larger book, I think you will probably be disappointed. It contains no "life changing" hints of value for most potential readers.

interesting approach to Deal-Cluttering!
Interesting approach! My approach has been "when in doubt, throw it out". Kondo's philosophy is " If it sparks joy, keep it". Of course, there is more to her tidying method than that! I did JUST read the Instaread minutes ago. Kondo's method makes sense but, the reasoning behind it may be difficult for some to accept. I happen to be an organized hoarder- I keep things from my past, as well as, collect things for others and things I may need in the future. Therefore, according to Kondo, I NEED her therapy. I may buy her entire book since tidying, in her approach, will also clear the mind which has many benefits.
