gentle and won't rip your hair out like velcro rollersI'm a little disappointed with the size though, the biggest size is the same size as the smallest rollers I usually use. I guess it's my fault for not checking measurements properly though.

I have my Mum's old sponge rollers in the past with relaxed hair and found them easy to use. I have also used perm rods on shoulder length locs before and they worked well if you left them in for a couple of days but they weren't comfortable.However, I had never used sponge rollers on medium length locs before. These work a treat.All the sizes will work with them, just use common sense and only roll one or two locs with the smallest size. The largest size will take 4 or 5 locs at a time. I was able to do my whole head and still have rollers left over.Your hair needs to be damp before you use these - a good time to use them is either after you have washed your locs or spritzed them with a mixture of Rosewater and Vitamin E. so that they are damp.The plastic on these rollers are strong and have a really good snap sound to them. They are nice and secure in your hair and are easy to use. They are also pretty comfortable to sleep in - just remember to wear a satin scarf or bonnet as always. I left them in for nearly two days and it was nice and comfortable.It's definitely worth paying more for better rollers. Your curls will be worth it.

Pleased with the various sizes of rollers and think they will be much kinder to hair than Velcro ones.

I have tried the velcro and plastic rollers and let me tell you, these by far are the best! They give the best results! Even better than a curling iron!
