R18RS-0 ONE+ 18V Cordless Reciprocating Saw (Body Only), Hyper Green

After buying this and using it to cut up some old fence panels in a matter of minutes, i honestly wondered why i had not got this earlier. Since i bought it i have used it to cut off some thick tree branches, cut through a large tree root that was pushing up some paving slabs on the patio and other smaller bits and pieces. Weighs a fair bit but is solud and well made as is udual with Ryobi. I have a lot of other drills, sanders, torches etc all from Ryobi, so have 4 big 4 volt batteries and a 2 volt battery and 2 chargers. Batteries last a long time on the 4 volt ones and they have an LED light system that shows the charge left in the battery. Overall, a very good buy, you wont use it often but its one of those tools that you are glad you have.

I was impressed by the ease of use for this reciprocating saw. I had specific (wood) projects that i needed this for and it handled these with ease. I cannot speak to durability as have only owned for a short while but, so far, product seems reasonably robust. I have a number of the 'Ryobi ONE' batteries and find that even on the smallest that i get a reasonable number of cuts before the battery dies. If there is a downside, compared to hand saws, it is the weight and that you need to use it two handed. This means you either have to clamp the workpiece or get help from partner/friend. However, i have tried a few different makes (in the local DIY shops) and the Ryobi is not much different in weight. Presumably one cannot get robust construction and lightweight!

Easy to use and powerful enough for fairly thick branches - ideal for garden use.

Powerful for battery power does better job than a plug in one strong robust bit of kit

Blade jams easily in thicker branches. Major disadvantage over my existing corded reciprocating saw is that the cutting edge is fixed in one position and does not rotate. This makes parallel cutting very difficult as trying to hold the saw in position and simultaneously using the switch trigger is extremely awkward.

Pues si, me declaro nuevo amante de la marca ryobi y es que este no es la única herramienta que he adquirido de la marca y todas me han resultado una pasada, sabía que esta no iba a ser diferente. En este caso he adquirido esta sierra de sable para cortar chapa sin generar chispas y la verdad que me ha sorprendido muchísimo. Lo mejor de estas herramientas es que tienen el sistema de baterías one+ que quiere decir que la misma batería vale para más de 250 herramientas y cuando me puse a mirar que otras había me quedé muy impresionado ya que los precios no son nada desorbitados. Para mí esto de usar una batería para todo tiene múltiples beneficios entre ellos que no tienes que tener muchos cargadores diferentes molestando y ocupando sitio y otro motivo que para mí es el principal que si una batería se te estropea no te quedas sin la herramienta hasta que te llegue una nueva en el caso de que siga existiendo. Bueno, como se suele decir vayamos al turrón, sierra de sable potente, ligera y que una vez la tuve en casa me saqué muchas más utilidades además de como comenté cortar chapa sin soltar chispas, ya la he usado para cortar tubería que no estaba accesible para una sierra de mano o radial, he cortado madera de pales y algunas ramas de un árbol que me molestaban y es que lo corta todo con una facilidad increíble. En el packaging viene con una hoja de sierra pero para mí es algo corta y he tenido que adquirir algunas más largas que no hace falta que sean de la marca. La hoja se cambia muy fácil con una especie de manilla que viene alojada en un lateral, simplemente levantar y meter la cuchilla por el frente. Estoy súper contento con ella, sus materiales y acabados se ve que están pensados y fabricados para durar muchos años. Para mí el único fallo que tiene y ya me ha pasado con otros artículos de la marca es que no viene con un maletín o bolsa de transporte para tenerlo todo ordenado y protegido cuando no lo vayamos a usar, por lo demás le pongo un 10! El gatillo de velocidad variable es cómodo y controlar bien el corte, sobre todo en zonas delicadas. También agradezco mucho el cambio de hoja sin herramientas, que ahorra tiempo y resulta práctico cuando estás trabajando seguido. La luz LED ayuda bastante en espacios con poca iluminación. Como puntos a mejorar, hay que tener en cuenta que no incluye batería, así que si no tienes otras herramientas Ryobi ONE+ supone un gasto adicional. Además, en trabajos prolongados puede resultar un poco pesada, aunque es algo normal en este tipo de sierras.

La gama de herramientas inalámbrica de esta marca ofrece un excelente compromiso entre calidad y precio, No son las herramientas más resistentes ni eficaces del mercado, pero sin embargo para las personas que como yo solo utilizamos estas herramientas eléctricas de forma ocasional, ofrecen un excelente rendimiento para usos no intensivos, además tenemos el plus añadido de que en su serie ONE+ la compatibilidad entre las baterías de sus equipos es total lo que si tenemos varias máquinas de esta gama nos permitirá contar con baterías de reserva... En este caso se trata de una sierra de sable compactas sin escobillas (lo que reduce su peso) ONE+, diseñada para cortar tubos o realizar trabajos de poda es razonablemente ligera, su gatillo de velocidad variable es cómodo y permite controlar bien el corte, sobre todo en zonas delicadas. Es también interesante la posibilidad de proceder al cambio de hoja sin herramientas, y como extra a diferencia de otras sierras incluye una luz LED que ayuda bastante en espacios con poca iluminación. Su único fallo a mi juicio es que no incluye batería por lo que habremos de adquirir una aparte si no tenemos alguna herramienta de esas serie que venga con ella Una vez probada haciendo trabajos de poda en una enredadera que había desarrollado unos tallos bastante gruesos en mi patio confirmo que cumple su función con eficacia...
