great for protecting a garden hose across an pathway
this protector is working out great for protecting a garden hose I need to leave in place across a flagstone pathway in my backyard; it's relatively lightweight but sturdy, doing fine with the lawnmower (NOT turned on!) and wheelbarrow repeatedly running over it; the regular 3/4" garden hose fits perfectly in the channel under it; it appears several lengths could be snapped together, if necessary; it also appears that the linking things on the ends could be hack-sawed off, for tidy appearance purposes, but ours looks fine with those things kinda nestled in some landscape rock. It doesn't look bad viewed from inside the house, which was important to me NOT wanting something that screamed, "here I am with an industrial look and loud yellow stripe looking out of place in a pretty garden" ... would definitely buy again

When you need to protect conduit whips, not extension cords
This is one chonky cord cover. It's overkill for an extension cord. It's even a bit of overkill for an SOOW tool cord like you might find on a table saw. It's PERFECT for running liquid-tight conduit at floor level; you can easily fit TWO half-inch liquid-tight whips in the central channel of this cover. It has convenient spots to drill out if you want to secure it to the floor with screws or Tapcons. Do consider getting the yellow one, though; in black, it's easy to trip over it in dark areas, because it's taller than most cord covers. I wish it came in a black-and-yellow striped version. It's strong and holds up to having heavy carts rolled over it. If you just need to run an extension cord across a walkway, get one of the basic rubber cord covers. When you're talking about running CONDUIT across a walkway, this product has you covered!

Worked well for protecting 3/4" PVC pipe
I needed to run 3/4" PVC pipe in front of a (shed) door threshold, that is has lots of traffic. I hoped that this product would work to protect the pipe from foot/bike traffic. I needed to cut the ramp with a saw to make it fit in the doorway, but it covered the 3/4" pipe with room to spare. The plastic for this is somewhat soft, but I feel it provides enough support for my body weight. I don't know if I would drive a car or other heavy machinery over it though.

Not for long term, but serves its purpose.
It's okay for a temporary protection, I don't advice for you to buy this if you are thinking for long term. Made out of plastic and it doesn't lay flat on the ground. Installation wise you just lay it over the pipe you want to cover, I only bought a single piece so not sure how easy it is to connect 2 of it.

Fits over a standard garden hose
Needed something to cover a standard garden hose that wasn't $$$, this does the job and seems to be the only suitably sized product out there (most have too small of a channel to fit over a hose) that isn't $200. The relatively low price is due at least in part to these being lightweight and not rated for vehicle traffic (which the heavier, pricier options you can find generally would be designed for) but that isn't a concern where I'm using them so it's not an issue for me.
