Surfex HD 1 Litre

Used amd tested over the past year on all sorts of oil contaminated parts and trim. It's possibly the best cleaner I've ever used. The dilution rate makes the product last ages. When used neat it made a 23 year old undertray look like new. Very impressive product and will now risk it on more delicate components. Spare bottle application is good with minimal foam or residue. Dwell time is good even on a hot day. Left it a little too long and it dried but still worked perfectly. Excellent value for money. Fairly odourless so no issues breathing fumes in like similar products.

After accumulating too many bottles of cleaning products for the house and car over the years, I thought it was time to try replacing a few with an all purpose cleaner. Surfex HD has rave reviews and seemed to fit the bill. Over the last few weeks I’ve used it to tackle the following (water:Surfex) - -Pre-wash spray on a composite door plus window & frame (4:1) -Extracted living room carpet (polypropylene) (10:1) -Cleaned hob (10:1) -Cleaned stainless steel extractor hood & chimney (10:1) -Extracted car seats & floor mats (4:1) -Cleaned car wheels (4:1) -Pre-wash spray for lower third of car body & bugs on the front (4:1) -Cleaned tops of kitchen cupboards (10:1) The product has done a really good job at pretty much everything I’ve thrown at it so far. It didn’t leave the best finish on some stainless steel, and I probably used a too strong mix on the car seats (no harm done thankfully), but that aside it was good to work with. Surfex HD has a unique but mild and inoffensive smell, which I’m a bit on the fence about. If this is its natural smell then fair play. However if this scent is added, then there is room for improvement. I get that this is a no-nonsense cleaner, but if scent is being added anyway it might as well be pleasant. It’s one of two reasons I probably won’t use it for general purpose cleaning of carpet and upholstery (the other being it’s very low foaming) because I prefer that sort of thing smelling fresh after putting the effort in. But it’s nice to know if can do the job if required. The trick I’ve found with this is not to be shy about using it at low dilution. Start at 5% and add as necessary would be my advice. It actually works better watered-down as there is less residue, and using more than you need is just wasteful. Don’t leave it to dry. The only problem I’ve found with mixing different concentrations is that, while you’re using less products, you end up with just as many bottles in your cupboard!

I use as a wheel cleaner and is very good. At 20% dilution it's excellent vfm. Highly recommend.

For years I have used Wonder Wheels but this 1 litre bottle is fantastic..It works without lots of brush work and the spray trigger is better quality.

Works neat to degrease heavy deposits or for heavy duty cleaning. Can be diluted as much as 10:1 for lesser cleaning jobs. Great product.

I must be honest, I probably haven't used it as well as someone who knows what they are doing. I made a very strong solution, stronger than the instructions (I'm a man, more is better!), and you could see it dissolving mud and dirt with ease. I also used it in direct sunlight (like a fool) and couldn't leave it on long enough to do its magic as it dried and left horrible streaks. I thought I had ruined my paintwork. I had to polish the car to remove the streaks. It's a very powerful product and needs to be used properly to maximise its efficacy.

Great product, smells a bit strange to be honest but it works nevertheless. Great cleaning power, I used it as a pre wash but it can be used as a snow foam too.
