Lindt EXCELLENCE Dark 70% Cocoa, 100g

Wow this is the best dark chocolate I’ve ever tasted not bitter at all just a smooth melt in your mouth tasting chocolate. I’m not a dark chocolate lover but this has changed chocolate has changed my mind. I now can have have chocolate when I get a sweet tooth craving as I can’t eat milk chocolate anymore for health reasons to do with dairy products upsetting my tummy. Chronic IBS sufferer!!

I’ve been keen on trying dark chocolate and saw many reviews stating this is the best bar to start on, and let me tell you that they are indeed correct. It taste bitter as you may expect, but not over bitter. I was slightly apprehensive as to wether i should start with 70% or 85% but thankfully i chose 70%. I have just placed a order for 85% and i feel confident in moving up the ladder until i eventually take on the 99%.

This beautiful chocolate is so rich and yet wonderfully smooth. The quality of the chocolate is excellent, The bar is divided in to nice large square pieces perfect for sharing and in satisfying quantity without over indulging. This dark chocolate is ideal for after dinner or adding chocolate shavings to a desert. I love this 70% dark chocolate as I think it's perfectly dark without being too bitter. I love the snap of this chocolate when its chilled and I love melting it with other natural sweet treats like dates for a healthier alternative to highly processed sugary treats. I most definitely recommend this delicious chocolate and all of their other flavours.

I switched to this from the Lindt 78% when I stopped eating dairy (the 78% is a lot creamier but sadly contains milk). This 70% bar is wonderfully rich, sweet-tasting dark chocolate that’s palatable without any bitterness and has a really versatile flavour that’s great for eating, melting and for chopping up into chunks for cookie dough (it’s easy-to-chop chocolate too because they’re thin bars). I’m a big dark chocolate fan and I definitely enjoy lots of different brands (many much fancier than this) but the Lindt bars have to be one of my all time favourite/most purchased dark chocolate bars to date; the fact that they’re affordable and easy to get a hold of is just a bonus! I also really enjoy the Lindt 85% bars but I reserve those for when I want a really intense chocolate hit without too much sweetness.

The taste of pure chocolate melts in your mouth

I regularly purchase 70% Dark and also 70% Smooth Dark chocolate blocks, and was intrigued to try the (new to me) 70% Intense Dark chocolate, so I bought a couple to try. The 2 blocks were combined with a soon-to-be-delivered regular recurring order of 4 blocks of 70% Dark. All 6 blocks delivered were the normal 70% Dark, so either the wrong blocks were delivered, or the "Intense Dark" advertised are fictitious (even though the product image clearly shows the words "Intense Dark" at the bottom).
