The Oboz Katabatic Mid Waterproof doesn't compromise on features to achieve lightness and speed. It combines the attributes of a fast shoe with the essentials of a robust hiker: support, stability, protection, and performance. This highly breathable, waterproof shoe is designed for swift trail movement and wet weather conditions. Review: Great boots - Having loved my Sawtooth Low I wanted some waterproof mids for different occasions. I wanted something light, flexible and fast. These really fit the bill. I looked at Salomon Outpulse but having tried both, think Oboz are just slightly better quality. I took advice from others and went for half a size larger vs the Sawtooth, which was the right call. These do run a touch small. The quality is great though - very comfortable straight out the box but they do soften after an hour or so, so worth taking them for short walk before any longer hiking. They look modern too, which Oboz generally aren’t known for. I prefer the styling to my Sawtooths which are very traditional. Yes, I know it shouldn’t matter but nice to know you don’t have to sacrifice style for quality and comfort. The toe box is fine - not overly large but spacious enough - and the heel cup is great. The lacing feels secure and the waterproofing is very effective. Don’t worry about it not being Gore-tex. Oboz’s Bdry is just as good. Highly recommended. Update——- Have worn these boots in snow and rain and they performed very well. Surprisingly warm (with merino wool socks) and very dry. Review: Great buy - Very comfortable. True to size. Looks really nice on my feet. They sre easy to clean and truly waterproof. One of my favourite field shoes at the moment. I may buy another pair.

Mostly comfortable
I bought these for my husband. He volunteers at state parks and he's on his feet most of the day. It's a must to wear hiking boots due to the terrain at the parks. While they are comfortable and breathable, his feet still ache at the end of the day.

Very good quality with a good fit
Very good quality. You can tell they are very well made and are light and seem to have good ventilation and not overly warm. These shoes are not stiff, they fill broken in when they come and they are true to size. The traction is very good. I took them on a camping hiking advention this weekend and I truely enjoyed them.

Great Boot!
I tear through shoes. I walk 8-12+ miles a day 5 days a week. A pair of Columbia boots are good for a month with waterproofing failing by day 2. Merrell are good for 4 months and waterproofing failing at 6 weeks. These are good for 5 months while staying waterproof until the sole separated from the boot. You do need to know they are stiff at first. They do break in and fit great with awesome support. Oboz has my business going forward.

Comfortable but
True to size and comfortable fit, but I find it a little narrow or low in the front. While super light, it feels more constrained. A big difference from Sawtooth. I’ll wear them, but only short periods. I’ve worn them 7 times so far from 3 hours to 10. Still hoping for a big break in moment.

Great hiking boots
These are awesome! Truly waterproof. I put them through a lot of hiking over the last couple months including through multiple streams, etc. held up great, light weight, a bit warm in the summer but great overall.

Oboz
Very comfortable, flexible, waterproof, breathable, good grip, don't make your feet sweat or become cold, fit very well even for flat footed people, and made very good quality. Looking at trying another style of this brand.

La medida perfecta, de acuerdo a la tabla mostrada, las botas de excelente calidad, buen agarre y resistencia al agua.

Nice shoes but the toe started separating in the same spot on both shoes. I have glued them but I can't recommend them.
