Excellent EDC light.
This is now in my EDC. Extremely easy to carry, charge lasts much longer than I thought it could, and after using it daily through the dark months of winter I would buy it again.

Nice upgrade for to the EDC27
I own the original Nitecore EDC27 and yeah, this is a needed upgrade. The switch functionality is more tactile and easier to switch between different modes and the fact that you can cycle thru the modes and see them displayed on the display without having to turn on the light is a big plus for me. Same ergonomics as the EDC27which I like. This will now be my primary torch. Thanks.

Good UHi version is better (revised review)
Final review at bottom :If you don't already know, there is this model with UHi 20 LEDs at 3100 lumens with two small reflectors, and then the standard model at 3000 lumens with different LEDs and a double TIR optic system. This UHi 20 model only gives slightly better throw compared to the standard model; however, the standard model has much better flood/spill and looks brighter overall. This UHi 20 model has a little green tint, not too bad, but the standard model has a very good tint.Look, I love UHi 20 LEDs; they are my all-time favorite emitter, but they do not work so well in this package. You should buy the standard EDC27 with 3000 lumens instead. If you really want to see what the UHi 20 LED can do, buy a Nitecore EDC33 or MT2C Pro.Edited Review - After much testing - OK on this UHi version I'm bumping my score to 5 stars (previously 4 stars). The first reason why is the power and mode selection button is much improved; it's not as tight as the standard model, so the UHi is easier to change modes, check output level, voltage, etc. It's just easier with the UHi model. The next reason why is I've actually grown to like the beam a little better; it's not as green as first thought and it throws a little further than I initially gave it credit for. Lastly, I really like that you can set the desired output mode before you turn it on, which you can't do with the original standard model.Final verdict: get the UHi version unless you absolutely hate a very slight green tint, which isn't very noticeable in actual use in the forest or walking the neighborhood street.

Very handy and useful light that I use 20x more than I thought I would.
Excellent light in so many ways. I never used to carry a light with me, but now I have it all the time and I never realized how much I'd use it. It over delivered in far as performance compared to what I expected (I had an O'light Arkflied Pro) but it should for that price..I do have one complaint and that is one of my buttons that makes it cycle through the modes is not working properly. I contacted Nitecore and they responded back the next day or so. That is where I am now with the process. I'll update when I find out what's going to happen.I wish it would stay on longer in turbo mode while not making it larger (I know there is problems with heat, I'm just saying..)

After 8 months, it just died. Warranty submitted
I bought one of these last September (2024) and really liked it. I've used it about once a week since then. Last week on a camping trip it just stopped working. Nothing on the screen, won't take a charge...just died. I have submitted a warranty claim and we'll see what happens. It's supposed to have a 24 month warranty.

Perfect!
Fantastic flash light. Very solid construction! Had it for a year now and still going strong. I use it every day for work as an auto tech.

Perfect
Before I purchased this flashlight I owned the Nitecore TUP1000. I loved that flash light, but this thing blows it out of the water 100%. This is the perfect EDC flashlight. It packs flat and fits great in the Leatherman Pacsafe pouch along with a micro screwdriver, the Leatherman Arc, a full Leatherman bit kit, and a few other credit card sized items. The battery life and brightness are fantastic. The only downside to a pocket flashlight is that the "throw" won't be as good as a larger flash light can be. This is an engineering limitation (and no fault of the product) but it's good to know these details.
