A Complete System for the Tournament Bridge Player

A complete and consistent system summarised clearly and thoroughly
A very clearly written and thorough book which sets out a complete and well reasoned 2/1 game force system. The system is covered in full, including a run down of the basic system (which can serve either as a foundation or a refresher) and Kaban's preference on leads and discards (though these are of course distinct from the main system).Even better, the book comes with a pre-filled out convention card of the system for the EBU, WBF and ACBL which serve both as a useful summary of the entire book and to save the effort of filling one out!If you're looking for a new system to adopt which has had success at a high level, or just for some new ideas or perspectives on 2/1 to add to your existing system, this book will serve you very well.

Interesting
There are some interesting ideas in here but I'm not sure that many of them are sound. So not bad for ideas but I doubt this is overall a solid system.

This is an interesting and odd book. Interesting, ...
This is an interesting and odd book. Interesting, because on quick first reading the author clearly explains his thoughts about his bidding system, odd because there are no hands and bidding sequences as examples. I bought it because I could find no other up to date book on modern natural, 2/1 forcing to game, 5 card majors, strong no trump and 1 club with transfer responses. I play a souped up Acol, weak no trump with four card majors. If anyone can suggest another book please tell me.

Well written and full of ideas
Well written book full of modern bridge ideas put together into an integrated system for bidding, leads and defensive signalling. While I don't agree with all his ideas (the way transfer responses to 1 club are done is a bit eccentric) the majority is full of good ideas. Definitely not for beginners but aspirational partnerships would benefit from study of this book.
