Such a great machine but did I get a faulty one?
After days of research I decided to go with a quality product.Good:- base looks and feels sturdy, elegant and high quality- multiple pieces (food processor bowl, nut grinder and blender jug)- super easy to clean- powerful and lots of settingsHowever it broke within weeks of only light use!Bad:- food processor bowl and nut grinder feel a bit cheap- nut grinder went into overdrive THE FIRST TIME I USED IT even though mounted correctly. Gear wheel damaged, it's made of some sort of rubber. Avoided use out of fear it might damage the food processor gear wheel itself- same thing happened again with blender jug (after about 20 times use though, not first time)- shredded the plastic gear wheel on the actually machine and the rubber one on the blender jug!!!Highly dissatisfied, this should not have happened with a quality product! Left me with nothing but the food processor bowl to use as it runs on a different gear wheel than the two others. Now I always worry it might get damaged more every time I use it! I'm incredibly disappointed and still getting my head around how this is even possible. It won't turn on if not mounted properly.I will try to get in touch with manufacturer and really hope they can sort this out. I want to give it 5 stars but it broke within weeks of only light use!

Very good product with a variety of functions
Very good so far. I have used almost every attachment and they have all been of a good standard. The citrus press takes longer and makes more message than if you squeezed it yourself, but other than that the product is very good.

Brilliant, but do you really need it?
This is a serious piece of domestic kitchen equipment from Panasonic. It comes with numerous different blades and attachments which enable you to undertake virtually anything you can think of when it comes to processing food. The functions include mincing, various chopping, crushing (eg Parmesan cheese), mashing, chopping frozen fruit, crushing ice cubes, grinding, pasting, producing breadcrumbs, kneading and making juices and soups. Have a read of the Amazon listing for a lot more details. It seemed pointless to repeat them here. It's a chunky machine, but comes with suckers to stop it shogging about on your worktop. After use, you can leave it out or put it away with the cable neatly coiled underneath. Along with a detailed user guide, there are helpful instructions on how to wash all the components too, something you'll be doing a lot.Reading through the instruction book, it did seem a bit daunting at first, but once I'd got it set up, it was pretty self-explanatory. So how well does it work? I won't pretend to have tried every function yet, but it certainly makes quick work of slicing vegetables and mincing meat. I also tried making some breadcrumbs, which came out perfectly. It does take up a fair bit of worktop space which is a nuisance in a small kitchen like ours, but it's easily put away, so that's a minor point.Really, it's a five star piece of kit, but I've reluctantly knocked it off one star (half a star would have been fairer) because I fear for most folks it has one fundamental disadvantage. Unless you live in a large household and cook fresh meals from scratch all the time, it's one of those things that you'll embrace with great enthusiasm for a start, but then gradually it will become more of a pain to have to keep washing and drying it each time it's used. Finally, you'll reach the point where your knife and chopping board come back out and this hides, unloved and unused, in the back of the cupboard.I could see it being a real boon if you work in a church hall or other club where you serve lunches to lots of people on a regular basis, and although it says it's for domestic use, I'm sure it would be perfect for such circumstances. This is clearly a machine that needs a lot of thought before buying it. To sum up, it's a wonderful piece of kit, but sadly it's probably simply not necessary for a typical family these days, and, although it's top quality, it's not exactly cheap, either. If my brief review has been helpful, I'd appreciate a click of the 'Yes' button, below. Thank you.

Great product!
Excellent product, really well designed and constructed, as are most Panasonic products. Bought it to replace the previous Heston Blumental food processor, which caught fire after just half a dozen uses. Amazon gave us a full refund on the faulty one.

Very versatile
The media could not be loaded. This food processor comes with a lot of attachments which can be used for various chopping and mixing tasks. It is really easy to use, despite a large number of parts and accessories, and comes with a good printed manual, a rarity in these days of having to hunt for a pdf of the manufacturer’s web site. It has a hole in the stand where you can push food down into the food processor, with no chance of possibly touching the blades with your fingers.I especially like the slicing blades which are good for grating cheese either coarsely or finely. It’s very good for chopping cucumber up into ultra-thin slices which go a lot further and smoothies using the blending jug have become a firm favourite in our household every morning at breakfast and a good way of getting our daughter to eat fruit!Other things you can do with it are grinding coffee beans, kneading dough, spinning salad and juicing lemons. If you do a lot of cooking and food preparation this can be a very useful device and combines many tasks in a single “swiss army knife” of a gadget.
