Failure to Discharge
After looking at the way the head was designed and how you activated (discharged) this product I decided to see it actually would work. Planned on buying several more for friends. As instructed released safety pushed the discharge button, NOTHING? It had pressure but the top bottom would move? Got a ball-pen hammer and struck bottom, it worked, as long as I hit it with a hammer.

Perfect for a kitchen emergency, good size and seems simple to use
I usually keep a fire extinguisher in the house under the kitchen sink, but in my current home it had slipped my mind until I came across this, so I grabbed it. I had never given much thought to there being different types of fire exinguishers, but this one is class K which means it's basically designed to be used in a kitchen fire scenario, so that's perfect! It should be able to handle grease fires which can be difficult or un-safe to put out with water alone, and it also seems you can safely spray it on a person (non-toxic contents) if it was necessary that you do that, which I like as well. We also occasionally have a small campfire in our backyard, so this will be conenient to keep nearby when we are enjoying that. This size of this is perfect - it seems large and beefy enough to handle most fires you could imagine needing to tackle on your own without the fire department's help, but small and portable enough that anyone can casually use it, and it can easily fit underneath your sink in the kitchen without taking up too much space. It appears to be durably built and easy to use, the pressure gague on mine reads squarely green in the middle as it should, and the yellow color should make it even easier to spot in the dark than the traditional red color.Definitely orient yourself with it before you put it away so it will be easier and faster to use if you ever need it. In particular I will echo what some others have said, note the pin that's in place to prevent the trigger from being accidently pressed. It may be hard to remove the pin if you are in a rush so I have gone ahead and loosened mine.

Non-Refillable but Reusable (Can Use More Than Once), Consumer-Friendly Design
I like this "Houandg Kitchen Fire Extinguisher (1000ml) Class K" for it's easy-to-clean up water-based formula as well as the consumer-friendly design for use. The can is not refillable, but it is able to be used more than one time. The kitchen-specific indication is what drew me to this as I do have a regular fire extinguisher in the kitchen, but not one like this, which is supposed to be specific for the kitchen. My only concern is since this is water-based and there's a grease fire, I do wonder what else is in this to make it suitable for that. This is one of those products one hopes that they never have to use (such as pepper-spray and tasers), but the extra peace of mind by having it on hand is important to help protect one's property and person. The handle on this makes it possible to use one-handed, but I'd likely still be using both hands if I was having to put out a fire. I appreciate the different option for extinguishing fires, but still want to have both kinds of extinguishers on hand. Thanks for reading.

Easy to Operate, Comfortable to Hold, Good to Have on Hand
This is an easy to operate fire extinguisher. It arrived securely packaged with an instruction pamphlet. It's comfortable to hold and has a two button operation. The gage reflects the pressure of the fire retardant contents within.I like having this extinguisher on hand, and its size is easy to store in my kitchen cabinet. I also appreciate that the manufacturer states that this spray is easy to clean up and safe enough to get on skin.It has a shelf life of five years. However, the date on the bottom of the canister is showing four years.I posted some photos to give you a closer look and hope that they help you out a bit with your choice. Thank you.

Easy to Use
The media could not be loaded. Seems like an easy to use fire extinguisher for any kitchen fire. I cant comment on its effectiveness, nor do I hope to have the chance. The directions are straight forward, but lacks an image of the pin being pulled (though it does state it in the text). If you panic, it may be difficult to figure it out if you've never used one before. I recommend familiarizing yourself with how it works ahead of time. No one is going to find the instructions during a fire, so if you go by the extinguisher itself, it shows *step 1* push.. which you cant do until the pin is pulled. The pin can be sticky as it sits flush against the plastic, and requires a good fingernail to pull it out. I would get it started slightly, and store it like that. Better yet, just replace it with a cotter pin, or anything easier to grab. All in all, good extinguisher.

Hope this works.
I have been looking for an inexpensive kitchen fire extinguisher. This popped up and I grabbed one. the install was easy - (placed it under my sink in the kitchen), and after reading the directions, I ended up snapping the yellow button and now it is ready to go. Of course, I should have left it alone until needed. But either way, it is now ready to go if I need it.I am considering doing some testing of this extinguisher with different types of fires, but at present I will wait to see if there is any interest in making this happen. Let me know if you want me to test this and what you would want to have tested. This extinguisher is listed as a class K extinguisher, which is very specific to grease or cooking chemical fires - perfect for a kitchen that might have splatter and spills that could rapidly spread and become out of control. Commercial kitchens are required to have this type of extinguisher as part of their overall plan to mitigate fires in their settings. Why wouldn't you want something like this in your own kitchen?Wish me luck if and when I need to actually use this device. The shelf life of 5 years seems short, but I will be happy since it isn't too expensive to replace.

Hope I don't have to use it.
Not sure how to review an item I don't want to use EVER! It's a good size. It fit neatly in the cabinet next to the stove. I like that it's yellow? I think the brighter color might make it easier to see when in a panic.
