Great!
Easy setup and working within minutes after opening. I've always wanted a Nixie tube clock, this is better. Great bargain too on Prime Day.

12 hour mode is wrong, and clock resets when you get near it
The clock can be set to 12/24 hour mode, but ONLY by using the Windows app. It connects to WiFi then you can make SOME adjustments. However 12 hour mode STILL SHOWS A LEADING ZERO on the hours, I haven't found a way to turn that off. :-( In order to make other changes, you must use the chinese software on your PC. I don't like that idea. Yet on the positive side, the PC app does allow several customizations, including Auto Sleep/Wake and custom colors. For extra credit, it would be real cool to be able to show different album pix based on time, weather, etc. Like if there's rain or lighting locally, play some thunder sounds and show a chosen picture. Every time I touch the case, like to turn it or push a button, it reboots. TOO Static sensitive? The "Matrix" bootup display is pretty, but useless. It's nice that the firmware is upgradable, but I hope they listen to our suggestions. Otherwise, it's beautiful and I wish it worked better. 1) Need an iPhone app. 2) Need to turn off leading zero. 3) Allow FULL control from the buttons on the clock. 4) Need setting for Daylight Shifting Time. 5) Need a setting for HHMM[S/S]W where [S/S] = 2-digit seconds on a single display, allowing Weather to be shown on the sixth digit. And that should be allow either in position 1 or 6. One more item: The really fancy packaging is a HUGE waste of money. Cut back... Problem 1) this device shows weather. But ONLY in China. The app is mostly Chinese and is unusable in the U.S. Problem 2) 12 hour mode displays incorrectly. In the 1PM hour, time is displayed with a leading zero. So “1:23:45” is incorrectly displayed as “01:23:45” which indicates the 1AM hour instead. After dozens of messages, they still REFUSE to fix it. This item should be BANNED in the U.S.

Pretty neat
I love the look and the kids love to play with it. A little hard trying to download program and setting it up but pretty easy after figuring it out and switching to English. Very happy

Randomly shuts off, repeat alarms do not seem to work
I really appreciate Nixie clocks, but the scarcity and cost of genuine Nixie tubes has meant only appreciating virtually on screen. With this IPS Nixie tube clock, it would still be a virtual simulation, but at least with a tangible object to gaze at. Unfortunately, the firmware or hardware on this one leaves much to be desired. The most annoying issue is that the screens will just randomly turn off, and the screens will stay off until you pull the power and then plug it back in. And no, this isn't the Auto Sleep setting, which I did try and which does kind of work. The caveat with the auto sleep setting (which turns off and on the screens at a set time each day) is that when the device is in sleep mode, you cannot wake it up temporarily with a button press. It stays off completely, and the clock cannot be viewed unless you have it set up on your network and can connect to it remotely. In addition, I was unable to get repeat alarms to work. I would set the alarm and configure the repeat modes (days to repeat, etc.) , and it would go off the first day, but would not go off the next. My video shows how I have an alarm set and nothing happens when the time is reached. One other observation is that the second display will advance for 3 digits, and then there will be a slight pause, before showing the next three digits. It's not the same digits that have the pause, but every 3 seconds. For someone with slight OCD tendencies, this is rather more annoying than it should be. Mine was running Firmware Version V1.1.22, Hardware Version V2.0.0

Great concept, looks great, but could use a tweak or two.
I've always loved Nixie clocks / devices, but they are expensive (when you can find them). I found this faux Nixie clock in the Vine program listings and thought it would make a cool looking desk clock. The clock is really well-packaged and is quite giftable. The instructions are printer very small, which is inconvenient for us older folk (I used my phone to magnify the assembly instructions). But they are clear and need to be followed precisely. This is especially true when handling the LCD chips. But if you follow the directions you should have a nice result when finished. The glass tubes can be mounted with, or without, using the double-sided tape. I tried doing without and found the tubes are insecure if you move the clock and turn it anyway but level. So I placed the tape rings on the bottom of each tube (this was really the most difficult part of the assembly process). As you can see in the last pic, the clock works and looks really nice. Now here's where things take a negative turn. Setting the clock is a hassle until you get used to the way to do it using the buttons on the base of the clock. I didn't enjoy this part at all. As you read the instructions you see that you can do even more with the clock (and probably a lot easier) by downloading a driver and program for your computer - from the PRC. Here's where my trust issues take center-stage. I don't think I'll ever do that with the way things are going (a shame too). It would be nice if the program was available as an app. So I will be using it in its basic form. It still looks cool though. Pros: 1. Great packaging. 2. Relatively easy to assemble (follow directions). 3. Looks cool and has some great functionality (if you download the computer program). Cons: 1. Instructions are tiny. 2. Basic settings are a bit of a hassle. 3. To get more functionality, and easier setting, you need to download, and install, a computer program from the PRC. I'm really happy with how it looks. However, for the price, I would hope that the basics would be easier to set or change when using the buttons on the base of the clock. Without being able to do this, and requiring a program/driver download to do more (or do things easier), I'm quite neutral in recommending this item. I have it at three stars, but please think of it as a strong 3.5 stars. I hope that my review, and pics, have been helpful to you. Regards.

I’m a fussy reviewer. That said I found this an awesome buy. It combines the authentic look of a Nixie clock, with modern tech. I priced out real Nixie clocks, but where more than twice the price, and wouldn’t have the longevity of LED, or the ability to find matching replacement parts. This product comes with a spare display chip which was very smart/thoughtful of the producer. Packaging was also excellent. Home run in this reviewers opinion.

I'm old enough to have used equipment with NIXIE tubes, and they looked so darn cool. Over the years have looked at building one, but the tubes have been increasingly rare and expensive. Enter a small high density display and you can mimic one at a reasonable price point. Sold. Now I have to find a place that is prominent enough to display it that doesn't annoy my wife...

Very disappointed by this clock. I mainly bought it for its supposed time synchronization to NTP (internet time) via wifi. It does not synchronize at all, I guess because of a very poor WIFI antenna (the standard one, PCB printed 1inchX1/4 inch) surrounded by that strong metal box enclosure. Now, the choice of display colors for the digits is very poor too as well as the minimal keys to navigate the setups. And as if not enough, the nixie like display setting is not looking in realty as nice as the marketing picture suggests.

Well made and very cool. I would have given it five stars but if you have an iPhone there is no app and you can't use wifi or the picture album feature or upgrades as they are only supported for android users.

I'm using it as a desk clock, so I won't be using the alarm function much, if at all. But I find the retro/futuristic styling extremely attractive. So far my favourite display mode is the classic nixie numbers, which go perfectly with the overall styling of the timepiece. So far it looks very accurate even without WiFi calibration, but it is still too early to say: I'll see in about two weeks' time.
