Problem solved
Purchased to stop the local cats also coming in through the previous standard flap. This one works a treat. Easy to register microchips for 2 of our cats. But one nervous cat proved more tricky. We succesfully registered her miceochip the first time she put her head in. But When it detects the cat it makes a sound to operate the catch to allow entry. She did not like this and refused to use it. We had to tape it open for roughly 2 weeks before she was brave enough to use it closed. More a cat problem than a flap problem I guess. No issues now and have completely stopped the local cats. Easy to install and looks great.

Quality, easy to use selective cat door.
This was my second sureflap, moving down a size to fit a new door frame. Quality construction and good battery life (10 months min) makes it a no brainer to fit if you are in a high cat population area and font want strays coming in. Very easy to program your cat into and works very well. Moving originally from a PetPorte these are like night and day and very good value. Totally recommended.

Keeps out intruder cats
I have a very nervous rescue cat who had settled in really well, which took a long time. A local cat started coming in and eating all her food multiple times a day, making himself at home, sitting in all her favourite places. She was completely traumatised. So in desperation I bought this. It was easy to programme. Putting some treats inside it worked first time. I left it for a few days and put treats in it once a day so she got used to the noise. It is quite noisy as it releases the catch. Once it was in she was quite tentative, and it make a lot of clunking and clicking noises, but it didn't take long for her to get comfortable with it. And aside from her sanctuary now being hers again, intruder cat has hurled himself at the cat flap a number of times to absolutely no effect. I could almost hear my cat quietly chuckling.

Does what it says on the tin
The second of these. Only fitted the white version as it matched my white painted door and looks much better !

Works like a dream!
The product states that it is only suitable for medium cats, well ours is pushing 6kg but I took a chance on it. Installation was very easy, all you need is a hole the correct size. There are concerns about battery life in reviews also but again I took a chance. The cat mastered the flap pretty well immediately. His first couple of uses were maybe not all that stylish but, after having encouraged him through once each way, he gets through with ease. A couple of months in and we are still on the first set of batteries and it has been perfect.I would recommend this product strongly as it scores very highly on installation and works perfectly.

Works as designed
In a pvc door, with a pvc bottom half you can install this yourself pretty easily with some YouTube vids. For glass install, you need to get a piece custom made. After it's made you can install yourself depending on the size of glass you get. I did the pvc myself and used a glazer for the glass panel. Cat took some getting used to and I used some string to hold it open to start with then gradually lowered the flap until it was almost shut. This was so she both got used to the relay triggering noise and pushing it open. Stupid feline still pushes it with her paws tho rather than her head! Get some decent batteries else it will fail sooner than you like. I did try getting "batteries" that are mains powered but these lacked sufficient power to properly trigger the relay. Back to Duracell which are fine.

Good
This works great I have two cats now but it picks up the microchip of the different cats and only allows them in easy to fit in all doors

Faulty
Having had this catflap for 1 year, not happy!!Batteries not lasting longer than a month and intermittently not reading the cat's microchip, hence he can't get in.😬Is it affected by rain getting in? Last catflap lasted 5 years!!!*
