Finally Found the Best Water Solution – Reliable Product & Exceptional Customer Support
I’ve spent the last few years searching for a reliable and convenient source of drinking water, and the Waterdrop A1 has been the best solution by far. Here’s a quick comparison of everything I’ve tried before: 1. Under-sink RO filters – While they offer clean water with minimal effort, they require a dedicated faucet installation, which wasn’t possible in my rented unit. No temperature control either. 2. Small bottled water – The water quality is good, but it’s expensive, requires trips to the store, and takes up space. Plus, disposing of all the empty bottles is both costly and inconvenient. 3. Regular water delivery with dispenser – While this option offers cold and hot water without trips to the store, delivery was unreliable and often delayed on short notice, sometimes for weeks. The bottles take up a lot of room, and the dispenser requires regular maintenance. 4. Other countertop filters – These are easy to set up and hook up to your sink, but the exposed hose looks messy. They also lack RO filtration and temperature control. Then I discovered the Waterdrop A1, and it strikes the perfect balance. It offers RO filtration, consistent water quality, and a wide range of temperature options. Yes, the water tank needs to be filled regularly, but that’s a small price to pay for a system I can fully control—no more depending on external deliveries or managing bottle waste. What really impressed me, beyond the product itself, was the outstanding customer service. Both Robbie and Karina from the Waterdrop support team responded promptly and worked with me to solve an issue—even after the 1-year warranty had expired. Their assistance was efficient, courteous, and reassuring, making me feel truly supported as a customer. If you’re looking for a dependable, stylish, and efficient water system, I can’t recommend the Waterdrop A1 enough. It’s been a game-changer for my home and daily routine.

Waterdrop Countertop RO: Great Water, Incredible Support!
I've been using the Waterdrop countertop reverse osmosis system for nearly a year, and I have to say, it's been nothing short of fantastic! As renters, we’re not allowed to install under-the-counter systems, but this countertop version is the perfect solution. The water quality is exceptional, and it’s so easy to set up and use. I truly appreciate how clean and crisp the water tastes—it’s a game changer! But what really sets Waterdrop apart is their customer service. After just under a year of use, my system ran into an error, and I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of support. I reached out to their customer service and was pleasantly surprised by how smooth the whole process was. Karina, the customer service representative, was amazing. She asked all the right questions and made everything super straightforward—no runarounds or confusion. Within a few emails, I had a brand new unit shipped out to me without any hassle at all. I’ve never had such a seamless experience with a brand. Honestly, the customer service alone makes me want to recommend this system to anyone who will listen. It’s rare to find such a great combination of product quality and top-notch customer care. If you’re looking for a reliable, easy-to-use water filtration system, I can’t recommend Waterdrop enough. I’m sold!

Money trap. Filters are not replaceable because their out of stock.
i’ve really enjoyed this filter by water drop. It does the job though it has some weird user experience interface problems overall, it gets the water that I want at the quality that I want. However, the carbon filter has run out after about a year of use. And there are no replacements available online and they are sold out on the water drop site. It appears that they do not support having, for owning this sustainably for more than a year. Which might mean that I have to buy an entirely new filter system, which makes this a bit moot of a product.

Good quality system
The system performed as expected, it is plug and play, very easy to setup and get it running, no need for plumbing. You can place it anywhere with an outlet. It provides hot and cold water, which is exactly what we were looking for. It also offers water in multiple temperatures, a big plus. Water tastes good, the family likes it. The system is good quality, sleek looking, nice touch screen interface. Pretty easy and intuitive UI with a brief reading to learn the icons and controls. Now a few areas that we wish could be better. The water dispenses rather slower than expected. It is a limitation for a tankless RO system, but still, wish we didn't have to stand in front of it waiting for a 8oz cup of water. Since it is a non-plumbed system, you do have to refill the source water and dump the waste water. If you consume a lot of water, you may need to refill it often. But refilling is very easy with the built-in handle to take the whole tank to refill. It does make some noises from time to time, kinda like the refrigerator noise. But since we put this unit in the kitchen, not in the bedroom, the noise did not bother us. Overall, even with the limitations mentioned above, the pros outweighs the cons. It offers us RO filtered water and instant temperature on demand water, at a location where plumbing is not possible.

High-Quality Product and Remarkable Customer Care
I purchased this product in December 2023, and it’s been a great addition to our kitchen ever since. The system consistently produced clean, great-tasting water and was very easy to maintain. After nearly two years of use, the unit developed a small leak and started showing an error code. What really impressed me, though, was Waterdrop’s customer support. Kimberly from their service team handled my case with exceptional care and professionalism. She guided me through troubleshooting, arranged a replacement unit quickly, and even followed up to make sure everything was working smoothly. The replacement arrived right on time, installation was simple, and the new unit has been running perfectly since. It’s rare to find this level of responsiveness and accountability these days. The product itself is excellent, but the customer service experience was truly outstanding. Thank you, Kimberly, and the Waterdrop team, for standing behind your product and making the process seamless!

great product idea, wish it was better quality
I wish more companies made products like this having hot and cold clean water dispensed easily is awesome! Idea of this product is excellent its exactly what I want. BUT: 1. touchscreen does not register presses well, particularly annoying, because you sometimes need to press the button to get the water to stop and this causes too much of a delay. 2. flushing mode says “flusing” on the screen, not very confidence instilling, I hope the filters have better quality control. 3. TDS meter reads 18, I expected it to be closer to 0, but at least that is honest. I wish the manual said what the range is supposed to be. 4. Manual says to use only with city not well water, inconvenient for a portable unit to not be usable at my cabin. 5. “cold” mode cools only down to 41F and by the time it dispenses its actually warmer than shown and does not feel cold enough so still need a separate ice machine to fill and maintain, why couldn't they make it a few more degrees colder? 6. every time I want tea and want to use the max “hot” setting, I have to push the button over and over to increase the temperature until I gets to max, it wont stay on the 203F setting! 7. you cant just pour more water in if its empty, you have to lift out the tank and click it back it for it to register. Often the wastewater part of the tank is not full so it would be way easier to just pour a bit more water in. if they made the wastewater tank bigger I would have to do that much less often I still like it, its functional but I worry about the long term reliability. despite all that I would give it more stars but $700 was pretty expensive and I’m a pretty critical reviewer, if they want 5 stars they should fix at least some of the things I mentioned above UPDATE 1: I posted a video here so you can see what I am talking about with respect to cold water temp, it often won’t cool below 50F. In fact you can only get the advertised temperature of 42f cold water if you luckily try to dispense water right when it completes a cooling cycle. UPDATE 2 - lost another star due to quality: after changing the water tank it begins dispensing randomly and pressing the button will not stop it, now I can relate to the other review that that talked about spills, to give you more details it appears to be an electronic issue, the device itself does not leak it will just start dispensing water after a tank change unprompted and then pressing the button wont stop it! The manufacturer offered me to be able to return it, now I will try to and let you guys know how that process goes

Great filter, one of the few over-the-counter with cold water, and even better customer service
UPDATE JUNE, 2025: I never realized I didn’t update my review here so I thought it would be fair with Waterdrop to do so. They reached out to me and said they had to take the filters out of the market while they ran some laboratory tests because they were accused by a YouTuber of being carcinogenic (very grave accusation). They got back to me after a few months and said all their lab tests were confirmed to be negative, which they validated with the proper authorities. The filters are back in the market for a while now. I have updated my review back to 4 stars based on their top notch customer experience. UPDATE APR, 2024: I needed to buy replacement filters for my A1 dispenser, and I just realized it was discontinued!!! the system and the RO filter aren’t available anymore, neither on Amazon nor on the Waterdrop website. I invested more than $600 on this less than a year ago and now it’s useless! I’ll never trust Waterdrop again. UPDATE DEC 06, 2023: After testing the unit a bit more and talking to the manufacturer, I concluded that it wasn't a broken unit but rather a very specific, unusual situation. I suspect it was related to me having it set to the "MAX" dispensing setting, which means it keeps going until it empties the tank, and the tank having run out of either cold or filtered water, in which case it started to filter/cool more, and then after a few minutes, continued automatically with the dispensing. I wasn't able to reproduce it anymore, but I also now refrain from using the "MAX" dispensing setting. I was offered a new unit by the vendor but I refused, since I didn't think this unit was broken nor I wanted to go through the hassle of having it replaced/returned. I was then offered a rebate as an appology and a gift (filtering pitcher), which I did accept. The seller/manufacturer was awesome in the interactions and genuinely interested in fixing my issue. Based on this experience, I have updated my review to 4 stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: My filter started dispensing water by itself out of nowhere. If I tried pressing the dispensing button, it would starting dispensing another stream of water (I didn’t even know it had 2 holes). Nothing I did stopped it from continuing dispensing, it only stopped when I took it out of the power plug. I tried turning it on again and it kept dispensing until the water tank was empty. I don’t know what happened, but there was definitely a bug. Terrible experience. I was just talking about it to a friend when it stated doing this, no need to say my friend will definitely not get it.

The upfront cost is worth long-term value
I use this machine on a daily basis for my french press (instant hot water), mix with my gfuel (cold option), watering my carnivorous plants, filling my humidifiers etc. My apartment tap water is both hard and heavy in nitrates so this system is an actual life-changer. No more buying distilled water for my picky plants or humidifiers and I have clean drinking water! As of writing this review I've had it for 6 months. I just replaced the CF filter. RO filters are listed as 1 year life-span and the CFs as 6 months. I would describe my use as pretty significant. I think that's a testament to the filter quality. Unit is easy use and has a simple child lock for the higher temperature selections. The fill tank is moderately heavy when full and the actual unit itself are rather heavy but it's hardly an issue. There is a bit of waste water due to the RO process but the clean/waste ratio is reasonable. 5/5
