Simple and Effective Drop-In Toilet Bowl Cleaner
These Amazon Basics toilet bowl cleaner tablets are a low-maintenance way to keep things fresh between scrubs. Just drop one in the tank and it starts working with every flush, tinting the water blue and helping to prevent buildup and stains. The oxygen bleach formula seems to do a solid job keeping rings and grime at bay without any harsh smells. Each tablet lasts a decent amount of time—I’ve gotten close to a week per tab with regular use—and I haven’t noticed any damage to the toilet parts. They’re especially helpful in shared spaces or high-traffic bathrooms where you want to maintain a clean appearance with minimal effort. It’s not a substitute for deep cleaning, but it definitely cuts down on how often you need to break out the brush. Easy to use, affordable, and effective at keeping the bowl looking clean day to day.

Gentler than Clorox (safe for your toilet)
These tablets are made with oxygen bleach (also known as hydrogen peroxide) making them much gentler on the toilet parts and unlikely to cause corrosion. There has been much controversy with the damage Clorox tablets cause to toilet/piping due to the high concentration of chlorine bleach in them. So given that these tablets are gentler they alternatively do not provide the cleaning power of chlorine bleach and do not replace cleaning your toilet. The lack of cleaning power of the tablets seems to be the main complaint but they are safe for your toilet. They also dissolve faster and are smaller in size than Clorox tablets meaning they need to be replaced sooner. Given that they are roughly half the price of Clorox tablets I am okay with this. This is a nice edition to helping to keep your toilet clean and I am less concerned in using them than I was using the Clorox version but again these *do not* replace using actual bleach or other cleaners to clean your toilet.

Pale Blue, Touch-Free, Mildly Effective!
The tablets are individually packaged, making the process touch-free and simple. I followed the instructions: cut open one edge, held the pouch over the tank, and dropped the tablet in after flushing, when the water was at its lowest. The directions say to place the tablet away from the float assembly, but the illustration shows it being dropped right next to it - a small inconsistency worth noting. These tablets are scent-free as described. While they’re marketed as deodorizing, I couldn’t detect any noticeable change in scent, though the bowl did remain clean during the first week of use. After waiting 30 minutes post-installation to flush, I expected a vibrant blue tint as shown online. Instead, the water turned a very pale blue - perhaps what the description calls “soft blue.” After each flush, a bubbly froth appeared briefly, which I assume signals some cleaning action. The packaging claims each tablet lasts for approximately 160 flushes. In my case, one tablet lasted exactly 7 days with regular use by one person. I didn’t track flushes precisely, but it was nowhere near 22 per day. The bowl was scrubbed on day 8 before adding a new tablet. While the water tint is visually pleasant, I’m not sure the tablets offer much beyond that. Lasting freshness or deep cleaning may not be measurable, but if your bathroom is decorated in blue, this will be a great complement.

Amazon toilet bowl cleaning tabs
This is a great product at an affordable price compared to brand name products sold at local department stores. Keeps the toilet bowl water a blueish - green for at least a month.

Compared to two other brands: Does nothing and is a poor value
🚽 $0.03 per day - 124 Days - Soft Scrub in-Tank Toilet Cleaner 4 Count - 31 days per cube - This was by far the best value: It lasted the longest and the toilet didn't get rings, keeping it cleaner longer. Whatever chemistry voodoo Soft Scrub is using, it did great for my toilet in a house of five people with regular use. 🚽 $0.057 per day - 102 days - Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Bowl Tablets 5 Pack - 20.4 days per puck Scrubbing Bubbles was more expensive than Soft Scrub, in terms of how long it lasted, but it did seem to do the best job cleaning the toilet, which smelled fresh every flush. If you want a super-clean feeling bowl, this would be my top pick. 🚽 $0.11 per day - 42 Days - Amazon Basic Toilet Bowl Cleaner Tablets 5 Pack - 8.4 days per puck This was utter garbage. Not only did they not last long, my toilet stank like urine during their use, and got a yellow ring that its competitors both prevented. Don't waste your money. Background: My basement toilet sometimes gets a yellow ring and smells a little of urine, even with regular cleaning. We have city water and aren't sure where the smell is coming from, having resealed the toilet and have everything checked out, but toilet bowl cleaners largely addressed the issue. Except Amazon Basics, which I believe is just food coloring or something.

Makes pretty deep blue water that's about it,do not last long as advertised
U are better off buying name brand these dont last as long as they advertised. Just spend the extra $1 or $2 get name brand atleast they actually last as advertised unlike these. Don't get me wrong Amazon brand has amazing great quality products that's why I thought these were going to be great at such inexpensive price but not this box of 5 is not worth paying $2
