THIS IS A 5 STAR ITEM!!!!!!!! Honestly this thing works better than I could have ever imagined and saved me LOTS of money! It works with my Uverse total home DVR box, the normal wired Uverse box, and the Uverse wireless Cisco box. It also works with my new Yamaha RX-A830 audio receiver. I have yet to try it with the Amazon Fire TV box or an Apple TV which are the last 2 devices I need to control.So here is the background: I built a home theater and decided to hide all of the boxes in a cupboard above the TV area which can't be seen. I wanted to control all the devices without having to open the cupboard door and ideally using just 1 remote control. I was ready to spend $350 on a Universal RF touch remote when shoppers history on Amazon pointed me to infrared remote control extenders/repeaters. I was scared from the reviews that it may not work with the Uverse wireless box but it totally does. it can detect ANY IR remote I have tried and from distances much further than some of my devices! (the yamaha receiver needs to be pointed at directly with its own remote and not from too far but with this receiver/transmitter it works from much further away without the aim needing to be accurate). I have the USB plugged into the back of the Uverse wireless box. It seems to work well on any of the USB ports on my TV, both on my verse box, and even the 2 found on the receiver.There are ONLY two downsides for me. The first is that this solution requires you to use every remote control you would normally use instead of having 1 universal remote UNLESS you also buy an IR universal remote along with this device which is cheaper than buying an RF remote. The second downside is that the transmitter end really is just made for 1 device, it is designed to stick to the face of the device and control it. I need it to be able to transmit to 4-5 devices all in the same cupboard so what I did was I cut the IR blaster end off and then I took the IR blaster that came with my Samsung TV which is designed for multiple devices, I cut the connector off and spliced it to the IR transmitter and TA-DA it now sends all of the signals to the entire inside of the cupboard. It isn't a fault of the device as I knew what I was buying and that is why I did not take off any stars. I hope they come out with a model with a larger IR blaster at the end.

Great little piece of kit. It works well with my wall mounted tv and powered by usb. It controls the sky box, DVD player, Apple TV and a hdmi switcher

I cant get this to work. Costs more than its worth to sent it back, save your money.

Does exactly what expected. Now I can hide the ugly cable box. The installation Instructions are a bit lacking.Be sure to install the RECEIVER unit so the largest area is facing the room or you will have a difficult time getting the remote to work.
