Good steel, for beginners and experts.
High quality item and works well, I've been a chef for 25 years and used many different brands. I have a large knife collection, all quality gear and I look after my kit. One thing I need to say about this product: steels aren't to sharpen knives, they are for honing! Sharpening is done with a whetstone when the knife is dull beyond honing and will grind metal off the blade to give a sharper edge. Every few months or so for me, if that, and even if I'm using the knife daily. Honing can be done hourly and doesn't take metal off the knife; it just knocks the structure of the knife edge back into alignment giving you a razor to work with if done right. Knowing the difference between sharpening and honing is important; I learned this late in my career and have some seriously eroded and unusable £100+ knives to prove it. So its a honing steel rather than a sharpener... Just saying. Anyway, the angled guides on the handle make this steel easy to use, from beginner to grumpy old chef you will just get it and actually like it because the results are consistently spot on. The steel was inexpensive and cost less than a fifth of many of my knives but I am impressed and definitely recommend it. There's no sign of wear after a year of heavy use. So, if you're on the fence, as an experienced chef I would highly recommend this steel, I got one for my mum too 😁

Excellent and value for money
Brilliant honing steel that brings knives to literally, razor sharpness. Note this is not a sharpener but an edge honer. It will only work on knives with an existing edge. The angle guide makes it very easy to angle the knife blade and the hole in handle is big enough for large hooks.

Good product
I needed a Ceramic Honing Rod which was of a sensible length without costing stupid money. My 'go to brand' for all things knife sharpening is Work Sharp, however their Ceramic Honing Rod was/is a lot more to buy so I thought I'd give this brand a try. So far it has done what I want it to. Like many other companies they have copied Work Sharp's Angle Guide for this honing rod. It is fixed at 20° which is adequate for most non-specialist knives. The anti-slip rubber tip on the tip of the rod is also adequate in that it does help stop the tip of the rod slipping away. Definitely a good thing when you have a knife being sharpened in your other hand. If I have one minor issue with this honing rod in that the rubber tip isn't also an angle guide (maybe a tad larger too) . This would make getting the angle on the upward pass more accurate and enabling using one's dominate hand for both downward and upward passes rather than keep changing hands to hone each edge using the guide. It's minor but it is a niggle nonetheless. I'd recommend this product based on my using it on a lot of my various tupes of knives for a couple months.

not sure if this will stand the test of time
It works up to a point but I have seen traditional steels work better and faster - not sure if this was a wise buy

I love the guide, it is easy to get a better edge on your knife. The rubber tip makes it so you can hold it pointing down on a counter to to get more stability. Best advuce I heard is don't throw your knife around willy nilly, follow the guide, slowly down the rod a couple times and the result is perfect. Perfect price point fornsuch a wonderful porcelain rod! Easy to clean and like I said, it really helps to perfectnthe edge of your knife. It is quiye heavy and feels it is of excellent quality! I am very happy with this purchase!
