Cute solar LED flame lantern
The media could not be loaded. This is a bit smaller than I thought. The size is a bout the same as the 14oz Starbucks mug. There are two solar panels on the top along with a hook ring and a clip for hanging. This is very easy to hook as they provide two options. On/off is operated by a single press in/out type of switch on the bottom of the lantern. The light sensor is on the top as well so as soon as the light gets dim, the lantern turns on. The LEDs are randomly lit simulating the effect of flame. The solar recharge function works and the battery depends heavily on how good the sun exposure is. For my experience, it can last more than 5 hours from sunset to after I go to bed. I am happy with this purchase.

Perfect little lamp!
We wanted a small lantern to hang by the front porch and this just fit the bill. It flickers and looks like a real flame. Enough light to find the porch or see to let the dog out in the middle of the night without having to turn on the big lights. Just ordered a second one to match the first. This is a very neat item, hope it lasts us a long time.

Would not recommend
Very Small...not a strong light. Should have returned it. It is cute and I will give it that.

Great lantern (too dim for me)
This lantern works great, the clip is sturdy, and it lights up consistently. The "flame" flickers giving it a realistic candle look, and it is a warm light. Ultimately, for what I wanted to use it for which was hanging several in a tree, it was just too dim. It hung abut 20 yards away from the viewing are and looked like an orange square dot. I will be returning this only because I want several of these to light up the leaves around the branch, so I wish it gave off more light. Otherwise, no defects.

and lights a good 45 minutes before this one does and is twice ...
For the money, it's entirely too small. I have another in a torch stake design that was less expensive, and lights a good 45 minutes before this one does and is twice the size. Had I to do it again....I would not buy. Just toooo small! But it does hang . The only positive.

The case of the missing manufacturer
We bought seven of these lamps. When they work, they are really nice. The flame effect is pretty realistic, and they have a larger-capacity battery than most solar lamps, plus a fast charging system so they work even after cloudy/rainy days. They always stay lit for the whole night; the only exception was after three days of non-stop rain in early May. If I had any criticisms, it might be a wish that the lamp body was metal, instead of plastic. Now the bad news. One of them stopped working a few nights ago. It was flickering erratically 2 hours after dusk, and completely dead in another 30 minutes. It had been a sunny day, and the other six lamps stayed lit normally. The NiMH battery is removable (the manufacturer recommends replacing it after 1.5 years), and I have a fancy charger/tester in my shop that I use for work. I tested the battery (OK), then charged it up again. The lamp ran well for two more nights, but shut down during the third night. So, battery OK; solar charger apparently not. Solar lights don't last forever, but I'm used to them providing 2-3 years' summer use on our walkway; and even when we replace them, it's usually because they are starting to look old, not because they won't light.I tried to contact the manufacturer to get a replacement, but the user manual has no contact information. I also tried an online search, without luck. Sadly, neither Amazon nor Square Trade (I bought an extended warranty) could find any information for "Espire lighting." So, while the manufacturer offers a "12 month worry-free warranty" in their ad, they conveniently provide no means to contact them for warranty service! This is absolutely inexcusable, IMHO.To their credit, both Amazon and Square Trade were willing to help after I explained my situation, but I'm now crossing my fingers that the other six lamps won't start failing in the next few months.

These are the best decorative lights I have ever seen
These are the best decorative lights I have ever seen! The LED flickering resembles a gas light, not just a candle. It has a multi flickering effect that makes it look like the strong flickering of a old gas lantern. They do not give off a lot of light, they are clearly decorative, but you will not regret this purchase. No picture could possibly show a clear representation of this flickering effect, beautiful and unusual. If you are looking for a stunning walkway liner, or a conversation piece, these are truly it.UPDATE: I have had these for two years and have not had to change a battery, I have six and am coming back for more. Love Love Love these lights!!!

LOVE these lights
LOVE these lights! We ordered 2 at first and loved them so much, we ordered 5 more! My in-laws were visiting and loved them too. They flicker and are pretty bright. They don't actually project light onto the ground like in a couple of the seller pictures on here, but they're perfect for adding atmosphere! I think I might order more now!!
