A locking lidded bin for inside and outside use is how it is accurately described. Just the right size for storing bird/cat/dog food or using as a household bin for whatever use. I bought it to use as as a mail box! I was so fed up of wet mail in a standard outside metal box I decided to give this a try. I wrote mail box on the front and now its in use for both normal post and small to medium home delivered packages. The locking lid has caused no problems. I leave it locked. I find it locked. With all my stuff dry as a bone inside. I simply secured it to the gate with a chain dog collar to avoid wind catching it. Cant ask more. I shall be ordering more for other uses in mind.

Had this a few weeks and so far it is doing its job, allowing us to put out food waste overnight without it being used as a click and collect service by hungry foxes. Bought to replace the council-supplied version which broke almost immediately. This seems sturdy and likely to stand up to being bashed about by the rubbish collectors. It did take me a little while to work out that you need to flip the lock mechanism from underneath the rim to lock it. Unlocking is clear enough - just press down the button in the middle of the locking bar, although sometimes it needs a bit of a jiggle to get the lid open. Very happy with it overall.

Had it over a year and foxes have given up

Two or three times a month, foxes get into our council-supplied bin (even with bricks piled on top) and we end up with food strewn all over the drive and pavement. We’ve had this bin for about three months now, and despite it being moved and dragged around by the foxes - they’ve never managed to get in!

Perfect for a compost caddy as it’s bigger ( our compost heap is not near by ) and can be washed out easily with the hose pipe.

We bought 4 of these. However one was damaged in transit, but the issue was promptly dealt with. These items are long lasting and do their job well.
