The best!
Absolutely love this filter, I can taste the difference and I'm so happy to not use plastic anymore. Best and most used purchase of the year, I recommend it to all my friends. Great water quality and value for money. It is slow and you need to refill many times, but I got so used to it, I fill several bottles at a time for the refrigerator and it has worked great. Probably not for a house with many people though.

Improving the quality and safety of potable water the easy way
I bought this product to ensure that the family drinking water is as safe as it can possibly be. The drinking water where I live is river sourced. The problem with this is that we are all aware of declining potable water quality arising from toxins and increasing water temperatures. I also have a sediment and chemical reducing water pitcher for cooking and the pets. As for the LifeStraw glass pitcher, after assembly and following the use instructions I did not experience any of the leaks or problems I read in other reviews. It works as intended. The water is impeccably clean and I trust reducing microorganisms. Great tasting water too! As for the comments concerning slowness, the filter system is indeed SLOW. It takes about 30 minutes for the water cone to drain. What I do to compensate for this is to keep the pitcher topped up by refilling after a glass or two of water to avoid running out. As I said the alternate water pitcher is used for cooking and pets and is a fast fill for this purpose. I have used other inline systems for water purity and find the LifeStraw is easier and cheaper to maintain. I would not hesitate to buy this product again. I will be adding a LifeStraw hiking filter to my vehicle travel kit. Finally, I appreciate what the company does in bringing potable water filters to problematic countries and thus accept the slowness. For a good clip on this subject watch Dan Becker's YouTube trip to Africa with the LifeStraw Program.

The right choice
Filtering water on the first few go rounds is sloooowwwww. Science. After the filtering materials are sufficiently water soaked and broken in, the filtering process is not so long. Everyone in my household knows to refill after a certain point. So far, so good. It’s beautiful. And the vase is glass. I appreciate not having to remove the top to add more water to the pitcher. The design is sanitary and practical. The water is delicious and safe. I know this company because I have been using the original Life Straw since early 20something teen. I travel and it’s literally a life saver. This company is one of those do-gooder companies and I am proud to be part of their consumer history. Wriggling the pieces apart for the initial set up and cleaning is not the easiest. All of the tubing and caps are very tightly fitted. I cannot imagine having any type of hand issue and being able to clean or change the filters. In fact, if you view the help videos they might have even skipped that part so she looks like pulling the pieces apart are a cinch. The help video needs to be revamped to include zoom-ins and clarifying instructions. Anyway, I got through it and will only need to disassemble the pitcher every two months or so. I am happy with my decision to ignore the “it takes too long to filter” reviews and purchase this pitcher filter system over the others. Goodbye bad minerals, microplastics, black speckles, cysts and 99 percent of all bacteria.

It does what it claims to do.
I actually really like this pitcher. Its capacity is kind of low, I find I am always refilling it and have gotten into a habit of filling it every time I pour a glass. So if you want more capacity or drink lots of water, maybe get a different model. It filters relatively quickly for gravity fed, faster than drips, but its just enough water flow for a laminar trickle. The water tastes great through it and it is really aesthetically pleasing to me. It happily lives in my fridge door and works as intended. I would purchase it again.

Great design poor filter speed
Wanted to love this filter pitcher so much but it hasn’t held up to my hopes for it! Biggest PRO is the amazing glass quality of the pitcher. Glass filtration is hard to come by. The biggest CON to this system- the speed at which it filters. It is SO slow no matter how many cycles I have filtered through. Truly thought it would pick up speed but it has been several days now and it’s still taking FOREVER to get maybe 1-1.5 cups of water after such a long period of time. Not sure if ours is just an unlucky fluke but idk if I would buy/ try again after this.

I love this water filter pitcher!
This is a great water filter pitcher, I love it! I bought it a couple of weeks ago after doing a lot of online research on water filter pitchers. I really like the fact that it removes so many contaminants and the water does taste better. Also, I love the fact that the pitcher is made out of glass and I know that there are no plastics leaking into my filtered water. I have to fill it up frequently, but I had to do that as well with my previous Britta 10-cup filter as well because I would not fill it up completely so that it would not get too heavy. And finally, its design looks great!

Takes over an hour to filter water
If you enjoy watching paint dry or have over an hour to keep adding water to the pitcher so it can filter ONLY a pitcher’s worth of water then this product is for you. If you’re looking for a product that takes less than 10 minutes to filter water then DONT BUT THIS SLOW, SLOW, SLOOOOOOWWW water filter pitcher! If this company doesn’t fix that HUGE product deficiency there are other companies that will and then this company is out of business.

Do you enjoy wasting time?
The aesthetic of this pitcher? Wonderful. I wanted a chic curvy gal that matched my decor. This pitcher met my needs and went above them at that. However, that’s where the positivity ends. This pitcher is the slowest effing pitcher in the world. If I had to pick between possible low water contamination and filling this thing up? I’d take the contamination and hope for the best. I also don’t like the flip lid. Like why doesn’t the water come out of the actual sprout on the pitcher? With that said, I never got past the first use steps since it took 20 minutes for it to filter the first cup. Packing this bih up and sending ol girl back on her way.

I have a zero water filter that I use for getting rid of particulates and smell for cooking, but it makes the water taste a little funny and dead. This bad boy actually filters, the dangerous stuff out of water like micro plastics, bacteria and most importantly for people who need to nasally irrigate like me, amoebas. No more need to boil or buy distilled water. Oh, and the carbon filter works well to get rid of offensive odors, but doesn't make the water taste dead

Very happy with my purchase. The water has no taste and the jug filters well. It's not super fast but that's ok as the results are great. I read that some people have trouble with the filter being too slow at the start. I soaked my filter in water for five minutes before inserting it into the jug and gave it a bit of a shake so that the bubbles disappeared. The filter worked well from the start. The jug looks very modern and is easy to fill. I just add water when I pass the jug and leave it on my benchtop. Great to know that my water is very clean.
