I love this book - I've watch Nancy Birtwhisle on Facebook reels for a while and like all her suggestions and recipes for using non-commercial, non-toxic cleaning products at home. Lots of great information for cleaning everything from stained clothes, carpets and upholstery to bathroom fixtures, and a whole lot more. I'm a Nancy Birtwhisle fan now and I recommend this and her other books enthusiastically.

I feel so smug now walking past the toxic detergents aisle. I’m saving lots of money, and these simple, cheap, non-toxic solutions mean I have streak-free windows and mirrors; cleaner glasses and dishes from my aging dishwasher; clogged drains no run free; I could go on and on. I’m now buying this as gifts. The bonus is that we put less toxins into our waters. Now, if only Congress would stop bickering and actually do some work like hike taxes on those who use private jets.

Nancy Birtwhistle is a genius! This book is packed full of amazing information that will make your home and life sparkle! Every suggestion and “recipe “ I’ve tried in this book has produced amazing results. Everything she uses and recommends is eco-friendly and easy to source. If you care about the environment and the health of future generations, this book is for you!

This is a practical guide for cleaning everything without harsh chemicals. My favorite so far is cleaning oven racks by putting them on the grass overnight! Not every solution is perfect, but it is fun to experiment with them.

This book has lots of information about green cleaning practices. However, it can be challenging for us in the U.S. to find some of these recommended products/ingredients. I looked at my regular grocery store for some. I may have to dig further to figure out where to buy these things. Perhaps an index with suggested suppliers in U.S. would be helpful. It also took me a little bit to understand some of the names for things are different. This is more like a recipe book for green cleaning products and you may not be using things you already have. So be prepared to purchase some containers and supplies to get started in your green journey and you will enjoy this book.

I really like how this book tells you how to clean without using harsh chemicals and without needing the cleaners in the non-recyclable plastic containers. I have gotten amber bottles and clear bottle with labels to store my different cleaners. Nancy gives so many "recipes" for different cleaning needs. I have not tried every one of them yet!

Very useful book full of "recipes" for environmentally friendly cleaning and lots of great ideas and hints.

Perfect for hints and tips to live a kinder life. Really all is so much simpler and friendlier to our environment than the shelves and shelves of chemicals we think we need.

I love the eco friendly recipes in this book.

Her book is amazing, she always have easy to understand explanatons to the products and methods. The only thing I'd say is that certain things are called differently (e.g. rubbing alcohol) it'd be great to have a more basic description, eg.g. 70% alcohol) also maybe some links to certain products or recommendations.

Bought as a Christmas present but think this will be well received by the recipient.
