The lock looks elegant and feels premium quality. It uses NFC to set up on the iPhone Home App, making the setup process easy and error-free. I thought the lock uses WiFi for connection but my router-connected device list doesn't list the lock, making me feel the lock is offline. However, everything still works well. So I searched it up online and realized that it uses Thread for HomeKit integration YAY! I have Eve products for home automation and the Eve app shows the lock under the Thread network. Additionally, the Home Key express mode works like a charm!

It worked for 6 months - bought it in Feb 2025. Now the touchscreen will randomly not work and i have to remove the battery pack and reinsert to get it working. No warning as to when it will fail. My previous Schalge touchscreen lasted more than 10 years. Total disappointment as the return period is over and no warranty from Amazon. I just saw other 1 star reviews who have the same problem. AMAZON should respond to this.

Debes tener un AppleTv para poder compartir la cerradura, de otra forma solo podrá abrirla un solo IPhone. Si no fuera porque el boquete de mi puerta estaba chueco, la hubiese podido poner solito suuuuuper facil. Tambien eso de cambiarle los cilindros de la cerradura para dejarla igual al que ya se tenía es sencillo si pones atención al momento de sacar el cilindro. I’ve been using the Schlage Encode for a while now and it’s been rock solid. Installation was straightforward, it looks clean on the door, and the keypad + auto-lock is exactly the kind of “set it and forget it” convenience I wanted. Connectivity has been stable for me and the app does what it needs to. My only real downside is the battery situation. If you use auto-lock a lot and have multiple people coming/going, you’ll go through batteries faster than you’d think, and of course the low-battery moment always happens at the worst time. What helped me: I paired it with the Wi-Charge Encode Wireless Power Kit (a third-party transmitter + drop-in rechargeable module), which keeps it topped up when it has line of sight. It’s turned the whole “oh no, batteries” problem into a non-issue. Overall: excellent lock. If you’re okay changing batteries occasionally, you’ll love it. If not, consider a power solution so it stays effortless.

Ya tuve locks de esta marca y son muy buenas, el color, los accesorios y la solidez y el uso a largo plazo. Lo único que no entendí al inicio fue el desbloqueo con homekit (iPhone) y sólo basta acerca el teléfono desbloqueado y detecta el cierre por contactless, fuera de ahí la sincronización smart es relativamente sencilla y se puede manejar desde cualquier parte del mundo. Recomendado, el precio es algo alto respecto a lo que se puede conseguir con opciones koreanas o chinas, ya decides si deseas algo a corto o largo plazo.
