A must buy, especially if you have kids
These little godsends are amazing. I have 2 kids who have a number of items all plugged in at the same time. Chargers, computers, TVs, game consoles etc and they never switch them off at the wall when not in use, despite asking them until I'm blue in the face. With the current electricity prices and the fact leaving things plugged in and on at the wall costs money, even when you're not using them or charging your phone etc, I know these plugs will save me money on a daily basis. These plugs are a game changer and have solved that issue with a simple click. I go on the app and turn them off and it couldn't be easier. The App is very straightforward and the actual set up is easy to follow. One thing I found, is you have to set up and connect one plug at a time. It can't be done if you plug them all in and try to set them up. This is because you have to name each plug to where it'll be located e.g. Bedroom, Kitchen, Livingroom etcWhat I also like about these plugs is you can turn them on and off by pressing the button on the side of the plug, so if I turn them off and the kids can't get hold of me to turn them on, they can turn them on themselves. These plugs are a very good investment and I intend on buying more when our extension is done. I'll be using them for my washing machine, dishwasher and any other appliance where the plug is behind the appliance, where I am unable to reach to switch the plug off when not in use.Highly recommended and I wouldn't be without them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Smart plugs which are worth the price withsome small cons.
The TP-Link Tapo Smart Plug is an affordable and easy-to-use option for those looking to add voice control and remote access to their appliances. It's easy to set up, and it works seamlessly with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, which allows you to turn your devices on and off using just your voice. The app is also very user-friendly and allows you to set schedules and create scenes. However, one con is that it cannot be added to other smart home apps such as "Smart Life", so you will have to use the separate "Tapo" app to control this device, which may not be ideal for those who prefer to have all their smart devices in one app for convenience. Another con is that the unit may be a little too big and may obstruct access to existing USB charging ports in power outlets. Overall, I highly recommend this smart plug for anyone looking to add a touch of convenience to their home, but keep in mind the size and compatibility before purchasing.

Brilliant bit of kit !
I bought these after careful review of other options and they seemed to have the features I wanted for the right price - and I am very pleased with the end result. Download the app, plug in the device, press the side button, detect the device and give it a name. From there you can control from the app, share the device with other accounts in the home, or share your account details with other family members to get all devices. Scheduling is easy and importantly, it knows the current state even if someone has manually turned the device on. Good price and works brilliantly.

These are fantastic!
Very easy to set up, even easier to use. They are slightly large preventing 'slim' applications behind cupboards etc. But not too bad. Works with multiple home apps I.e., Google Home etc. And can set auto schedules to turn off and on at a certain time (e.g, phone chargers etc Off by 3am to save them being on all night). They are perfect for lamps!I would like more but can't justify it just yet!

Would get 5 stars if they paid a bit more attention to the energy usage interface
Disclaimer: I've only been using this plugs for 1 day so far, so it's not gonna be the most in-depth review, but just from this 1 day alone I wanted to write a review to clear up some INCORRECT things that I read in other reviews before I bought it:1. I read some people saying that the energy monitor updates once every minute or every 30 seconds or something. Either they were on old firmware or have a faulty device. The energy usage monitor updates every 5 seconds from my experience (almost real-time). This is a huge plus for me as it was one of my major concernsNow, for my own points:The plug does what it says it does. Was very easy to set it up out of the box, it measures energy, you can input your own cost per kw/h, and so on. But there are some features that could make it so much better and it's strange they didn't think about them.-For example, I bought 8 plugs. I wanna have the option to not just group them by room, but also to look at energy usage by group, or as a total. I don't want to have to click on each plug manually, read the usage and add them all together to figure out my electricity. Why is it not possible to view usage by group/as a whole? That would also give the option of showing other useful stuff like pie charts indicating which plug draws the most energy, etc.-Another one. My bill is billed once every 2 months, and it's not on the 1st of the month. The app should let you define your own billing period. Currently it only offers monthly.-Also, for a smart app, it's not very smart that it does not let you edit your account's time zone, and always assumes you're in the UK timezone. Not a big deal for me, but just to show you that they could have thought about user experience a lot better.-And why is there no option for the user to export the data somehow, in case they wanna read it better in their own analytics app and their own interface? Seems trivial and adds a lot of value, but once again, it wasn't done.I can come up with several more but you get the point. The presentational interface for energy monitoring is very basic.Would get 5 stars if it was designed a bit better.
