Magnetron packed in after 13 months of light use…it has a 12-month warranty!
Bought a Panasonic microwave for £250 from Amazon and after 2 weeks, and having used it 3 times, the magnetron broke. So returned it and bought this Sharp flatbed microwave. Was very pleased with it until after 13 months of light use the magnetron broke and it has a 12-month warranty. So have to spend money on a new one. Either I’m just unlucky or the quality of microwaves these days has gone down!

No turntable ; brilliant design
How liberating to have a microwave that doesn’t need a turntable! For years I’ve got so irritated when large dishes don’t fit properly on the turntable and you end up dislodging it. They’re also a pain to clean! This machine has huge capacity as a result of not needing a turntable. I also like the Auto Cook buttons, giving you options for perfect cooking of specific foods at the right power level and for the right time depending on weight (e.g. jacket potatoes). The smooth inner walls of the microwave are easy to clean. The overall design is slick and smart, and doesn’t take up too much space.

Controls make getting the accuracy difficult
I thought I liked this product apart from its instability, until I'd had t a while. The innovation of not having a rotating plate seemed fun, but it doesn't work. The cooking is not even throughout leaving some areas very hot and others cold. The design needs more work to improve its performance. Definitely would not buy again.
