Map making made fun!!
One of the best cartography books for kids ever! Rhyming is fantastic and lots of laughs while learning the basics about map making. Highly recommend this for most ages but certainly 6-10 year olds. Excellent book

Not as good as others
My 4 year old loves these cat in the hat learning library books, and i do too. He loves the story, and I love the fact that they make him think (and want to understand more) about the subject. Unfortunatly this is not the best (a little american centric for us UK'rs). Try "There's no Place like Space" or "Inside your outside" - they are the best ones.
