Handy Art 440-003 Medium Student Acrylic Paint, 32 oz., Gesso White

My first order, and usage, of black gesso. This is the best I have used ( even better than white. ) The coverage is phenomenal. I covered 2 dozen canvas boards ranging from 5x7 in to 11x14 in ( about half of them used ), front and back, and barely made a dent in the amount in the jar. Will be reordering when time and stocking up. Absolutely the best value. Thanks for a great product !

I use gesso for base paint on my houses. I know the usual is to apply mod podge, but I find gesso makes a much better base to start painting my diorama houses. A bit more expensive but worth it. This is a lot of product for the money and it works perfectly for what I need it for.

Great delivery time and nice size container. The lid was loose and the cardboard seal was loose also, there was a small mess. Watch out for that.

This is a good gesso for covering large canvas. I am covering 12 38X48 canvases with two coats each and it goes on nice and smooth. It’s a little thick in viscosity but not bad for my purpose. It can be watered down a little if needed. It dries fast and holds up well. It goes a long way as well. I would buy it again although it will last me awhile.

I love to carve decorative wood decoys and other wood creations. This Gesso is great for sealing the wood in preparation for applying the paint. Paint this on.....lightly sand....and paint. Recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
