I am already taking a B vitamins pill. And my B-12 blood levels is already decent. But my doctor likes B-12 levels pretty high. I see some people take this because they have issues with more common forms of B-12. I don’t. I’m already getting decent blood levels. But I figured that if my doctor likes the levels even higher, it might make sense to add some additional forms of B-12. Therefore, I picked this product. And of course, Pure Encapsulations is a good brand with no fillers or stearates. I see some people with corn allergies have a problem with this product. I don’t, so it’s fine for me. The capsule is nice and small, easy to swallow. And my blood B-12 levels are now actually considered elevated, higher than normal. So, I know it is working. The first time I took one, when I peed an hour later, it was extra dark. I don’t think it meant anything, other than probably I’m getting more B-12 than I can use.

I love that this is produced naturally through fermentation and is not a chemically synthesized b vitamin (such as synthesized b6 which causes side effects like neuropathy that natural b6 formed inside a living organism does not cause). This product seems to be pure, is from one of the main well-known reputable brands, gives me more energy and causes no apparent side effects.

Two MD's recommended B12 so bought a bottle of sub-lingual tabs, twice & neither helped or made me feel better. (taking for nerve infringement) So stopped. Then I did some research & much reading & realized the B12's were cyanocobalamin which has to go through the liver to be detoxified & with liver disease that was not happening for me. One quote "It’s important to note that high intakes of folate have the ability to mask vitamin B12 deficiencies. Therefore, it’s recommended to take a supplement that contains 100% of the daily value of both folic acid and B12." So I began taking the B12/folate combo from Pure as the B12 is already in the form my body needs. So you might want to ask your medical provider about the B12/folate combo. I have now been using it since early May & feel much better. I would also suggest researching from a qualified source. I use Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, NIH, Web MD & Medscape. In good health, Breezeie

I got test results that my b-12 serum test was super high which was odd because I was only taking a b-complex with methylcobalamin. All my family also have high b-12 in blood serum so Im wondering if its a genetic issue. I did a MMA (The methylmalonic acid test to see if my body is absorbing the B-12 or if its not processing due to a malsporption issue. Test came back high - basically meaning that Im not absorbing the methylcobalamin. So I am trying these forms out to see if they help me out. So far so good will update but I dont have any new test results yet. If you are deficient in b-12 for a long time there are irreversible effects like dementia so I really want to make sure my b-12 is right.
