Soybu Women's Dhara Maxi Dress

Really pretty dress with a flattering fit. Be aware that the Amaryllis color is darker in real life than in the picture. It's a bit more purply-magenta. Also, the stripes are much more prominent in real life than in the photo here. I assumed that the stripe was more a function of the material, i.e. ribbed but it's actually a pattern in the fabric. I'm usually a medium/size 8 but have, er... put on a few recently. I ordered both the medium and the large. The medium fit better and was very comfortable. The large would have worked too as the dress is quite stretchy but, if I were to lose a few pounds, it would look a bit saggy. You can forego a bra but the built-in cups are pretty small. I am a 36-D and am often spilling out of dresses like these. I would say this dress keeps everything adequately in place though, if you are larger busted than I, I would skip this dress.

I have the asian garden print and love it. I'm 5'8" and the length is perfect, just grazing the top of my foot. The fabric is super stretchy and vibrant. I am 130 pounds (hourglass figure) and I ordered the medium, my typical soybu size. It is very comfortable and super-flattering, but I probably could have ordered the small. My only complaint is in the braiding on the straps: they transition to a flat strap for ease in tying, but the transition needs to be a couple inches closer to the top of the dress for me. A quick trip to a tailor should remedy the problem, but it's a hassle I'd prefer to avoid. Still, it's a great dress, and I'm going to order the other print once it becomes available in small through amazon.

Love this dress. I am 5'11 and it sits right at my ankles.It does have pads that feel a bit awkward but it's not noticeable looking at it. They just feel oddly shaped. Besides that it really is comfortable and a nice soft fabric. It's heavier but not too heavy...just enough to flatter the figure. Highly recommend to anyone 5'8 or taller. Anyone of a shorter stature may need to hem the length.

I did return this - ONLY because I have the same dress in the mint stripe color already. The fit is great. Im 5'2'' and about 135 and the medium was perfect. The top area is supportive and holds your top half in nicely - I was a little concerned but the added removable cups make this a fantastic dress for anyone.I did have to have it hemmed as it was a good 3-4" too long. But for a great fitting maxi it was worth the extra expense!

Love the fabric and the color is very pretty. It's extremely long though. I am 5'6 130 and the medium was so long I couldn't wear it until I had about four inches from the bottom taken off. Add another $30 and this sun dress came to almost $100.00. If you are VERY tall and model thin, this is your dress. If not, you may want to reconsider or at least know how to hem a dress!

Love this dress. Bought for a trip to Caribbean. I'm a DD cup and this dress provides nice support, not too much cleavage but flattering at the same time. The material is non-wrinkling, light and airy. Not exactly swim material as described in other reviews. Can dress up or down. Can't wait to wear it to an evening beach party or balcony dinner party.

The dress was meh, kinda boring and not a good travel dress since it would take so much room in your suitcase. I am going to keep on looking, not worth it even though the price that I bought it for was 70% off.

I loved they way this dress looks on my wife. If I could only get her to wear it more often. The dress has an appearance that can be dressed up or worn for a more relaxed situation. You won't regret this one.
