Handy Size And A Brand You Can Trust.
Now that most towns and villages no longer have a local bakers or anywhere that provides a staple loaf of none industrial bread, I opted to buy another bread maker. In the past I have chosen Morphy Richard’s, for the factory was located in my town, but I now notice that supporting local industry is a thing of myth, for all the machines are made in China, anyway onto my review, Very handy size, takes up virtually no room on your worktop, probably suited to the singleton for a large loaf is not possible. Very comprehensive instruction book, with recipes for cakes, doughs and the like. Also simple digital programs that an idiot would have no trouble navigating, with or without aforementioned instruction book. I’ve not baked anything yet, I only got it today, but I am sure given the Lakeland branding, that it will deliver to me a fine loaf. So up to press I am mightily impressed with my LakeLand Breadmaker. Update, my bungalow was filled with the aroma of baking bread and the resultant loaf was sublime, I highly endorse and recommend this Lakeland Bread-maker.

Great little bread maker
Excellent machine. Perfect for the two of us. I make a couple of granary loaves a week on the whole wheat setting and they are delicious! Have also made a hot cross bun loaf and a couple of batches of cinnamon rolls, French bread for fondue and a half and half spelt loaf and a basic white loaf - all very successful. It is really light and very easy to use. Highly recommended! Years ago I had a large Panasonic machine which was wonderful but it was a beast for hauling around the kitchen - this Lakeland Bread maker suits us well now!

Great machine. Shame about the Paddle.
Just arrived this afternoon. Made our first loaf already. Very easy to use. Loaf came out brilliantly. The only nigly bit is the Paddle inside the bottom of the loaf, had to cut it out which spoiled the exercise. Surprised it doesn't lock in place. Otherwise Fantastic little machine. Only gave 4 stars because of paddle.

Great little bread maker with some decent functions
Bought this for my husband and he loves it. It’s really simple to use and makes a nice small loaf which is great for us- we don’t often get through a normal size loaf before it’s past its best. We especially like the delay feature. You can load up the ingredients before bed then set the delay function so bakes in time for when you wake up.

Exceptionally Poor Spare Parts backup policy.
Mid December 2025. I am a Coeliac, 7 years of service making GF bread gets 5 stars. But 3 Stars because My Bread pan shaft has failed, securing circlip has rusted out, so has the mechanical seal keeping the water in, shaft top seal heavily worn, top nylon gasket adrift, so now beyond any use. Shaft is stainless steel, paddle is Aluminium, so very worn and loose due to wear. Yes, Replacement Bread Pans are in stock, but they DO NOT include a new Paddle, this has to be purchased separately. But having looked many times in the past year, Spare paddles are NEVER in stock. I can get a new pan in 48 hours, but the Paddle has to be bought separately. Lakeland advise best chance is a 2 week wait, but that will be Christmas, so New Year at very best before I can make any bread.. What point is selling a new bread pan without a paddle? ... Time for a new machine then and it won't be another Lakeland....

Who doesn’t love freshly baked bread?
This compact bread maker is perfect, it bakes just enough bread for one or two people so there’s no waste. The instruction book is straightforward, and it has a few recipes inside to get you started. I’ve only had the machine a couple of days and I’ve already made the simple white crusty loaf twice. My home smells delicious. I think my next loaf is going to be a banana bread (my own recipe) baked on the sweet setting… it’s time to experiment! The only slight niggle - which other reviews did mention - is the mixing paddle gets stuck in the loaf. I’ve tried giving it a spritz of oil before the ingredients go in, but it still bakes in there. You can dig it out with a spoon or leave it in there till you reach the middle when slicing. Other than that, for the price it’s a great little machine, I highly recommend it.

It did not work at all, faulty item or major design flaw
Ingredients did not mix, kneading did not work. I didn't get any dough. It could be because the kneading paddle was longer than the width of the container, so it didn't complete a full rotation. Return was easily arranged, I'll send it back straight away. I've uploaded 2 pictures showing what I was left with after 56 minutes and then at the end of the 3 hour basic program. I was looking forward to my home-made bread over the Christmas holidays. Huge disappointment.

Excellent small size machine
I purchased this because I am on a low carb / keto diet & have no choice but to make all of my own bread products, as keto ready made bread is difficult to source other than online & It is also very expensive. To fulfil all of my bread requirements is very time consuming to make on a regular basis & messy. I love the dough program because it means that I can make rolls & pizza bases to bake in the oven & the machine does the hard & messy work. The basic program is excellent for making a sandwich loaf (photos are of my first attempts). The size is very compact compared to the one I had years ago which is great to store away in a cupboard & it makes a similar sized loaf. The paddle does get embedded in the loaf, but that will be the situation for any bread maker & isn't a problem really. Amazon, as always, made a lightening fast delivery, goods received in perfect condition and the black Friday price was excellent. All in all I am very well pleased.
