Insane Speed (and not insanely hot)
I bought this admittedly excessive CPU for a new build in a Shuttle barebones computer. I keep systems for a long time and they run 24X7 so reliability and future-proofing is important to me. This processor supports 24 threads via 4 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores. All of my computers run shared scientific jobs under the BOINC model so all machines are pushed pretty hard. I'm glad to say that these CPU's cores run relatively coolly with 16 efficiency cores running at 100% saturation full time and the temperatures are in the 70-80C range which is fantastic given that the efficient Shuttle cooling system does it all via a little 3" fan, some fancy heat pipes and heat exchanger and does so quite quietly. I'm not a gamer but I suspect that the CPU would handle almost anything thrown at it on the 4 performance cores and 8 threads although some heavier cooling might be called for if the performance cores were at 100% but I'll probably never know. Despite the eye-watering price I'm quite satisfied with the purchase.

Fast - Gets hot, but not too hot
Fast.Gets hot, but probably not as hot as the other 13900 models.280 FPS in Warzone 2's benchmark (w/ 4080 GPU and 7000 mhz DDR5))I upgraded from a 3950x with 3733 Mhz DDR 4 w/ the same GPU.Previously the max FPS I received in Warzone 2's benchmark was about 110.In CS GO I went from like 260 FPS in Dust 2, to 500 FPS.

Had installation issues
Beware when upgrading, things get funny. First, make sure to update the bios if you have a 600 series mobo. Even then, there were issues with booting. I had to use an old SSD on a USB to boot into safe mode, and only then was I able to reboot into safe mode with my NMVe OS drive. Seems there's some sort of CPU encryption/associating that goes on and the new CPU will not recognize your old OS drive. Anyway, I did get it to work and the chip performs as expected - amazing! I can't give 5 stars because it was such a hassle to install. Great CPU and price. I highly recommend it for new builds. 32cores!
