“Tastes Amazing – Healthy Cereal That Actually Feels Like a Treat!”
Surreal Cocoa has totally changed how I feel about “healthy” cereals. I love the rich cocoa flavour – it actually tastes like a treat, not cardboard! The texture stays crunchy in milk, and it’s packed with protein, so it keeps me full for hours. It’s perfect if you want something that feels indulgent but fits into a high-protein or low-sugar diet. No weird aftertaste, no chalky texture – just genuinely delicious cereal. I’ll definitely be buying this again.

Best Cereal ever, but a bit pricey
Best taste and nutrition value ever 🙌 But the price could be better

tasty - probably too tasty!
The idea is great; a zero sugar, high protein breakfast cereal. The implementation is quite good. A very chewy, compact cereal that takes some eating... not just a mush. Decent chocolate flavour, but with a slight artificial sweetener aftertaste. The package size is small, and the packaging surprisingly flimsy. But here comes the problem; like most chocolate flavour cereals this is very more-ish... and difficult to eat only at breakfast time... which might be OK if this was the price of a typical cereal... but not when it's £6 a box!! The only way to justify this crazy price is by comparing it to the same weight of protein bars... whereby it doesn't look quite so bad. But I can't really afford to have something in the house that costs so much and can be demolished so quickly. If your willpower and/or your wallet are better than mine you should give it a try.

Super crunchy. Very filling and perfect for Diabetics.
I love these. They have a nice cocoa taste that is not overpowering. A lot of people have complained about the limited portion sizes in each box. What I’ve found is that although 40g (my serving I have) doesn’t look a lot they are really filling due to the high protein. Other cereals have empty calories so you feel hungry afterwards. The little hoops stay crunchy all the way through with milk. I’d imagine maybe if they sat for ages might get soggy but eating them straight away it’s crunch all the way. I’ve eaten these dry as a snack also. I’ve tested my blood sugars after a bowl of these with no sugar almond milk 2 hours later and my sugars do not go up. Yes they can seem pricey compared to some cereals but if you buy others and have huge servings it’s not that far off. The only cereals that are okay for diabetics really is Weetabix or Shredded Wheat so these make a nice change. I’ve also bought the frosted ones which are lovely too. I didn’t like the cinnamon at all. Just not my thing for a cereal and I’ve yet to brave the peanut butter. For me, these are worth it as I get taste, crunch, healthy breakfast and a small portion is surprisingly filling. I have these on repeat order now.

Only nice with milk
Never had this product before. It inly taste nice with milk. Natural sweetness from coco powder. Not too sweet like other branded cereals. Cant eat dry as leaves odd after taste

This is the best high-protein cereal in the market, full stop.
I wanted to leave this review, because I feel like most of the critical ratings here are probably from folks who have little to no experience consuming high-protein food designed for weightlifters / bodybuilders / athletes. (If you want to give this cereal a chance, here's a tip: Add a pinch or two of salt to balance the non-sugar-based sweetness.) If you eat protein bars or take protein supplements often, you'll understand why Surreal tastes the way it tastes. For what it is, Surreal is incredibly tasty and moreish, while helping you reach your daily protein goal. I also like that it's crunchy and it doesn't get soggy in milk. Also, Surreal doesn't look like dogfood, unlike Eleat. 35-40g Surreal + 25g unflavoured whey + non-dairy milk = satisfying and filling high-protein breakfast that's easy to prepare. Surreal has actually helped me with my weight loss goal without losing too much muscle (diet + weights + cardio). Finally, about the price: Again, if you're used to buying high-protein food and supplements, the price of Surreal won't surprise you. Do I want it to be cheaper? Well, who doesn't want cheaper things. I have a subscription of this from their official website to get these at a discount.

Delicious, zero sugar, high protein
Really nice breakfast cereal or late evening snack, served with almond milk they are delicious. They don’t absorb milk like ordinary cereals so they remain a little crunchy but also don’t get soggy and oversaturated. They are a great alternative, no Sugar or carbs but high in protein!
