Best of the “First Reader” sets that are out there
My 5 year old and two year old both love these books better than any other “first reader” for my 5 year old to reader herself books. As she was starting to learn how to read, I realized I had a lot of read-to-her type books aimed at her age group, but I didn’t have much that was completely made up of sight words and sound-it-out words that she could read the whole thing herself. So I bought several sets that claimed to be that kind of “first reader” set or the “I can read!” Phonics book sets (which I found to be way too advanced to be the *very first* read-all-by-myself reading material, btw), and this set was the best of the bunch, hands down! My 5 year old can read each page confidently and the 2 year old repeats all the words. They both love the pictures and little storylines. Great art style! Totally captivating for both ages. So glad I found these!

Great learning tool
Love this. Each book is short with simple sentences. Allows the little ones to "read" unassisted.

Watch my video and be amazed by these books!
The media could not be loaded. These books are fabulous! They cover basic sight words, funny, rhyming words, short stories, build confidence in reading, tiny books for tiny hands and the list goes on! I hated that they had stitching as a binder.Take 5 minutes every night for 2 weeks reading these and watch your child read these books back to you on their own. Comes with 20 books. 10 level "A" and 10 level "B".Check out my 3 (almost 4) year old reading to a friend! Took 1 month to master all the books without mistakes. Do 5 minutes a night reading these for a month and you'll have a tiny reader in no time!

Great reading helper
My daughter has speech issues and has a harder time getting the words out she is trying to say. But with the help of these books it has motivated to work harder, given her confidence, but most of all given her a joy to try and read. She feels like her big sisters who love to read and the fact that its in comic form like they love she feels apart of what they like to do. She is able to breeze through the easier books and the harder ones are giving her a bit of a challenge but she takes it head on and slowly masters the next. Each book make her laugh and she just overall enjoys reading them. Thanks for making reading fun again for her and not something she just has to do because she needs to learn because of school. She asks to read these on her own not because she has to.

Great books, missing box
First, the books look good, and like something my daughter will love. We have their sight word readers, which she's enjoyed, but wanted something more like a comic book. These were delivered in a used Walmart zip lock bag(see pic), not in a boxed set, so I'm assuming they're all there, but I don't know for sure. I feel like they should have been delivered as described, as our other set was, so that's my only complaint.

Better Than Bob Books
Perfect books for the beginning reader. I wish I had known about these when my child was 4 years old. Alas, I found these when my child was in kindergarten and still struggling with beginning reading. These books help build confidence in the timid reader. Highly recommend.I recommend these books to every mom I know with a 4 or 5 year old. They are so much better than Bob books at building confidence because of the repetitive sentence structure. Plus the pictures are much much nicer.

These are delightful!
My kindergarten grandson was not interested in learning to read until he got these. He loves the short one sentence pages with easy words, bright colors and quirky characters. He will run through two or three in a sitting and is so proud of his ability to read them on his own. He loves going back to the ones he has mastered and is excited to try new ones. I am very pleased with these and look forward to handing them down to the next grandchild.

Great set for new readers, repetitive text and rhythmic patterns
We just received our book last night and my son has already read 14 of the books. They have a very repetitive text format that uses picture clues to help children read on their own. He has only been reading books for a few days but goes to these books over others because he feels the success he has. I highly recommend this set to families with kids just learning to read on their own.

Great value and cute stories!
Liked the stories... they are easy to read for our little readers yet they help in pronunciation and rhyming. Also, loved the stickers and the book that come with it!

Engaging books for reluctant English reader
Love these books for my child. I bought them because he’s learning to read in French - he’s in French Immersion - and won’t be learning any English at school until grade three. He much prefers these books to the BOB books (he didn’t find those as interesting).

Great for learning to read
Cute. Great for learning to read. Some of the stories aren’t as good as others.
