Sausage Making Experienced.... Recipe suggestion
I purchased this to do sausage a different way, and add a new charcoal burn on some processed meat. Easy to understand how to use it.... Used skewers I made from 316 SS 1/8 round bar at work, the first skew was easy to align with the hole in the back. I filled the tube, and it fed out as expected. The following skewers were just a small challenge to line up, but I did it. I like the fact it makes the skewers perfectly, the action to move them isn't to pick them up, but rather roll them. I picked a few up to move them on the grill with a 98% success rate, rolling them I got 100% success rate. Your ground meat has to be very cold. But this is normal stage in sausage making. There are a few things to create your own Kabobs. Seasoning salt for French Fries, Kimchee powder or use high temp cheese sold at sausage making sites. Over all this takes a little thought out prep to understand, yet produces a great product and performs perfectly.

Simple and well made easy to use product !! 😃
If you like kabobs or seekh kabobs this is a must have. Perfectly shaped kabobs and the thickness of them is perfect too. Very well designed product, loved the fact that you can insert the skewers and it rolls the meat on it. Brilliant!! Other uses, make tator tots, chicken nuggets, cheese balls, falafel, bread rolls etc ... Few minor improvements can make this product much easier to use. 1. Make vertical ridges on the exterior so that it’s easy to hold and disassemble. It gets very slippery after first 2 kabobs. 2. Please swap the sponge brush for cleaning with a bristled brush. Sponge is not good for cleaning dishes with raw meat. It can hold bacteria. 🤢

I really like Hamburger dogs. You outta try this thing. (Get skewers & Read tips below tho)
I like this thing. Long review, but this thing is fun, but a little tricky. Not as much as the IDEA of the thing tho. It is well made, easy to use. Difficult to clean (explain later) and a lot of fun to use. Easy to use. Mix up your ground meat & kinda roll it into a tube so you can shove it into the product. once full, hold Kabob Maker in dominant hand placing maker on hard surface like the countertop. Push down on the plunger until you see meat at outlet. Place to insert the skewer in the rear and push thru meat a couple inches past the end. (Enough to grab with tongs for turning on grill) I used kind long skewers so broke them off at just over "hot dog" length, or leave really long and have 2 dogs on one skewer. TIP: Make SURE you have skewers or you won't have any fun. I bought some 1 pound packages of ground beef, chicken & lamb. Mixed some seasoning into the ground meat & made a few kabobs of each. (just salt, pepper, garlic powder & Worcestershire sauce - not too much). Made them hot dog length, depends upon the length of your skewer. Used good hot dog buns. Grilled them toasty. Also did a couple with all three (beef, chicken & lamb) for a kinda poor mans meat loaf hot dog. Sounds pretty fun huh? It was fun. Had my skewers ready and Big Green Egg fired up and off I went with my experiment. Cook them just like you would a hot dog. Be careful turning as they want to come apart. Mine didn't, but a couple fought me a little. I also grilled the buns and they turned out great! But . . . check the tips below ---> Pro Tips: 1) Use wooden skewers soaked in water. The meat slides off the metal skewers too easily. 2) cook on preheated grill over medium heat, not ribeye steak blast furnace hot. They will stick to grill like burgers so be careful 3) Don't overcook. I did and while still edible they became more like dry beef Kafta than hamburger. Think of cooking a steak the thickness of a hot dog. I would say only a few minutes a side should do it for the beef, maybe a bit more for the chicken & lamb. They are better when not dried out. 4) when you are making stuff in the Kabob Maker, the plunger that extrudes the ground meat into "tubes" doesn't go all the way up. So some meat is left over in the maker. No problem, as it will be pushed out by the next meat in. But your next Kabob will be 2 kind of meat on one end. Not a biggie. However when you are done, that ground meat is still in there. Makes clean up a little harder. Sorry, no super easy way I've found to get this ground meat remnants out of the top of the maker.

Make kabobs like a pro !
Great and easy way to make professionally made kabobs. I actually enjoyed using this device. Takes some pressure to push the meat through but once you get used to it, its a breeze. My guest were impressed when I took out the kabobs. Cleaning is a little cumbersome but I used a knife to scrape out the meat. Washing is easy . Overall I love this product and its very sturdy. Not a cheaply made unit.

It works, but might be easier way
It does push the meat out on a skewer, but there are issues... It takes a little bit (2 or 3 attempts) to get going with the kabobs, but after that it works for the most part. It would be nice if there was a slicer attached, but I just used my large kitchen scissors, because they will tear and fall apart at the end of each piece otherwise. With my favorite breakfast sausage it was more of a chore because it was very soft, but ground beef was much better. So while I didn't get a faster way to make stick pancakes, I did get a very good way to prepare roller burgerdogs. Final note is cleaning is not as simple due to a fair amount of meat that gets left inside the upper piece, it doesn't just drop or shake out, not a big issue but if you weren't thinking about it it slows down clean up. Overall it is a good product, easy to use with meat/grease hands and very little force required. I will use it, but not on as many dishes as I had thought

Love it!!! made perfect kababs, love that they are all the same size. easy to clean. cant wait to use it for other meats, my first kababs were lamb. after more than 6 months of use I have to say I m very impressed. it is very sturdy, fallen multiple times yet not a dent. it still works great, soooo easy to clean. I have made every type of kebabs that I can think of, made chicken kebabs last night. just love it. I am going to buy a second for my brother

Easy and fun to use. I did about 2 pounds of ground lamb in about a half hour or less on the first go 'round, after mixing in sautéed onions and peppers and seasoning. The round disc, by the way, is to neaten the end of the meat.
