Got this for my son so he could have his own FJ. He's still too young to dig into the remote control features, but the FJ model itself is a great toy, and pretty accurate! Surprised it has the roof rack as well, which is great! The remote control is essentially four buttons that are operated by two joysticks: Forward, reverse, steer left, steer right. This means you can go forward OR backward in any direction (left and right), instead of the old-school style that only turns when you reverse. The remote takes a couple AA batteries, and there's no on/off switch on the remote because it basically is only powered when a button is being pressed. The FJ itself is powered by three included Ni-MH (rechargeable) batteries. While the FJ DOES charge via USB, you still have to use the included cable because the FJ has a standard DC barrel jack instead of a USB-C (or even micro USB) connection. So, that's one more cable I have to keep track of in the house. On the bottom of the FJ there is an on/off power switch. In operation, the two LED headlights will turn on when you go forward, and the big SURPRISE was that the tail lights (also LED, red) will light up when reversing! Another surprise is that there is an alignment adjustment lever on the underside of the FJ, between the front wheels. Pulling to the side? Just move this alignment lever over one notch. The packaging is pretty over the top with a window box (although then clear film is on the wrong side, ha), and the FJ model and the remote are both secured to the interior packaging with screws. You also get a tiny little screw driver to open the FJ's battery compartment. I used my own screwdriver, but it's nice that they included one. All in all, I can't believe this is (at this time) under thirteen dollars. It's surprisingly accurate for something in this price range, and the fact that it lights up and can be remote controlled is just icing on the cake. My little one was thrilled to receive this as a gift, and I was pleased with how simple it was to get going; the remote control was easy to handle for small hands, and the usb charging feature added extra convenience. The little lambo is nice and fast, and the controls are responsive. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

Bought this car for my grandsons and they haven’t stopped playing with it, my only regret is I didn’t buy two to start with, I just ordered another one so they each have their own!! Great radio control car, thank you for the fun!!!

Total waste of money and disappointment. Purchased the car for my son to work towards with school goals. Opened yesterday and it doesn’t work at all. Changed all batteries, charged it and nothing will turn on. Amazon will not let us return due to return window closing. If you purchase, open and try immediately so you don’t get stuck with a car that does nothing.

First off let me say this car is pretty cool and feature packed for its price. It comes with working LED headlights and brake lights that illuminate when you push forward or backward on the remote control. It comes with rechargeable batteries and a USB charger which was a very nice touch. I fully expected to have to constantly replace AA batteries in this thing. They even included a screwdriver to open the bottom of the car and to remove the mounting hardware from shipping. The only thing it didn’t include was the battery for the remote but that’s not a problem. I have this four stars because this car is marketed as a “drift car” and it’s certainly not nearly powerful enough to drift around. The closest to a drift you’ll get is turning and simultaneously hitting the stick backwards for brake on the remote. The marketing video is obviously sped up 2x or 3x. I included a video to give you a realistic speed expectation. Other than it not being a speed demon, it is a cool officially licensed car that comes with everything you need minus a battery remote. I’d buy again if I was in need of a cheap gift for a kid’s birthday but other than that there are better options for slightly more money.
