Nite-Ize AA LED Upgrade Kit -

Great product, so much brighter than the stock bulb that ships with the Magllte. You can actually see things with this, nice white/blue light rather than the original yellow tint and the click on off switch works fine although I preferred the Maglite's originalon off function which still works with the LED fitted so you have to have the on off click swith if you don't want to.Product was nicely packaged and came through customs without a hitch.

Item arrived spectacularly quickly, so well done !!Does everything I expected; bright light and extended battery duration - so win win !!One minor grumble, changing the bottom cap loses the ability to use a lanyard or strap -perhaps the designers could have foreseen this.Nevertheless, a good purchase at a good price.

Good upgrade

Hello ,my name is Kenny and I'm a torchaholic.And I still cant keep my wife in torches.We live in the country and she uses torches during the winter whilst dog walking .She has the most enfuriating habit of using my torches untill the batteries die then discarding them.I had a peli super sabrelight xenon as a spare as I use one at work,she has discarded it somewhere........god knows where They are rarer than hens teeth now).So my mission was to find a useful torch with good light and battery life but small enough to put in her pocket.I found one of my old mini mags and revamped it with this LED kit.Now she has a solid reliable torch which will take an age to deplete the batteries and gives ot a useful if not retina burning light.Now she just needs to remember to twist the lens end AND push the end cap switch and we are sorted!

This is a neat device which with a bit of a fiddle, can be reasonably easily retro fitted to an existing Maglite. If you leave the front glass in place (recommended), the lamp section does not screw back completely onto the main body of the torch. In wet situations this can be a problem as the watertight seal is less effective. However - the light output is much greater as claimed, as is the battery life, so its worth the investment.

If you are used to dull, yellow lights then look no further because this Upgrade kit will turn your dull light into a bright white light!The switch is super-helpful too and is a great new function!Before buying this, I saw lots of good reviews but also some bad ones.DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS! Granted, it can be a bit fiddly to change the bulb but once it is done, the light is sooo much brighter!Also, other reviews have said that you can't focus the light as much. In my case, I have found that this is not true and the light can be focused just as well (if not better!)In summary: I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

Terrible

Works as advertised but you do loose most of the beam focus capability of the magnate with this mod. If thats a requirement rather purchase the LED magnate straight out.as for the quality of the LED and brightness I have no complaints.
