Diesel engine slightly quieter.
I know people have their suspicions about this product so before I used it I borrowed a decibel counter and placed it near my diesel engine (65,000 miles) for a before and after count. I drained 500ml of oil and topped up with the 500ml product just in case a full oil change made a difference itself on the sound level. The result is a definite drop in sound by 7-8db so thats very good indeed BUT whether or not the product makes a difference to the inside metal workings of my engine I'm not sure, I'd like to think at this stage the product will do as claimed and reduce wear etc. Fingers crossed.

Protect your engine
I was introduced to the wonders of Slick 50, by my mechanic friend, which ironically was near enough 50 years ago! I have used it in every car I’ve owned since. My friend described how the engine revs on his Range Rover had increased by a couple of hundred RPM following the addition of Slick 50 to his engine oil. He went on to describe how they had thought they’d test exactly how effective the product was at protecting the moving parts of an engine against wear. They had added some Slick 50 to the engine oil of a car they were about to scrap (failed it’s MOT due to corrosion). They ran it around their yard for ten minutes then put the car on a ramp, left the engine running, then sent it up in the air so as to gain access to the sump plug. They then drained the engine oil. Expecting the engine to self destruct by seizing up after a few minutes, they went about their other tasks in the workshop. My friend left the workshop to perform a test drive of another vehicle, leaving his partner in charge. 20 mins later when he returned he was flabbergasted to find the car still on the ramp, still ticking over! In disbelief he instructed his partner to lower the car, get in it and rev the engine until it detonated. The long and short of it was that they ended up having to give up waiting to witness the engines demise, when the scrap lorry arrived to collect the car, STILL running, hours after all of its engine oil had been drained out of it. OBVIOUSLY Please DON NOT try this on your own car, but I think it demonstrated how awesome Slick 50 really is. Why wouldn’t you put it in your car’s engine. And what’s really fantastic is that you don’t need to put it in at every oil change. One application last 250,000 miles apparently.

Dunque, devo dire che lo uso da più di quindici anni...e con tutte le auto che ho avuto, ho sempre superato tranquilla i 350.000 Km. Senza aver mai riscontrato nessun problema al cuore del motore....anzi, l'ho ha sempre mantenuto giovane fino all'ultimo momento in cui ho deciso di cambiare auto. IL prodotto è meraviglioso, fin da subito si riscontra un aumento di Potenza di circa 4/5 cavalli (su motore 2000 Turbo Diesel provati al banco a rulli) ma quello che piu stupisce e un aumento di coppia ai bassi regimi...ad es. se su un tornante in salita magari devi scalare in seconda per far riprendere il motore, con questo prodotto nel motore, adesso sicuramente ci vai in 3 marcia. Posso anche dire che ho riscontrato un minore consumo di carburante, in città da 11 km litro ai 12 km litro, In autostrada dai 15 km litro a circa 16,5 km. litro. Pero secondo me dopo dopo qualche migliaio di km 7/8 mila km l'effetto incomincia a svanire, magari e una impressione, ma quando rifaccio il cambio dell'olio a circa 2000 km e rimetto lo slik 50 nel motore ,sembra rinato...comunque ottimo prodotto, lo consiglio per tutti i tubi di motore.

All these years I've been adding Slick 50 to every oil change and one single time I stupidly neglected picking up a bottle for my 6cyl GMC pickup (286,000 miles ) and in the process of towing a trailer packed with furniture and odds and ends on my way back to my home (2 hours away) my pickup very suddenly overheated and warped the engine head. That was my $4,000 lesson. I'll bet I NEVER have another oil change without SLICK 50. Slick 50 is the best engine insurance policy you can possibly buy and it's VERY VERY AFFORDABLE. WE

I knew an old man in Southerland Oregon sometime in the early 1980's who introduced me to Slick 50. He was an automotive master. He had retired with 30 years from General Motors. The man had built a total car from scratch of his design. Impressive guy, to say the least. He put the stuff in all his motors, tractors, autos, motor cycles and lawn motors. He claimed it was magical. And I asked him order me a quart which was $55.00 at the time and it took 3 weeks to receive as it was not yet available in the USA. About a year later I saw it advertised at a hardware store in Reno Nevada and they had a small Wisconsin Motor outside the store running with no oil in it at all. It had been running all day. And they did that every day. It had been treated with Slick 50 and nothing else. I can only say I've been using it for a long time now and have yet to see any signs of failure. I had an 84 Toyota pick up that I sold for 2 grand in 2005 that had 385,000 miles that I took in to the mechanic for a pre-sale check up. He said the motor checked out perfect on all tests. He said he'd drive it anywhere. I treated it with Slick 50 every 50,000 miles. I see lots of critical statements made by rich companies who would be happy if Slick 50 weren't around. You know what? It's a big planet, there's room for them too. But heck with them and their BS. I love the stuff, that's my opinion.........SkipBale
