Stanley STHT9-13906 1/4-Inch Square Drive Socket and Screw Driver Set

This is a nice little 1/4" socket set.It contains most of the bits you are ever likely to need to conduct a basic repair: philips, posi, flat head, torx, security torx and allen key bits. They all sit in a dinky little ratchet that is of a decent quality. It also has a 50mm extension/bit holder and sockets from 8mm to 13mm.The whole set is in a nice case about the size of an average mans wallet. This "Tech3" set comes in a cool box and with a nice gloss black finish thats looks like it should be durable. The also do a silver set branded either 'expert' or 'Fat Max'.If you want a dinky socket set to carry about that has most of the stuff you are likely to need, and wish to have something of decent quality, then this is ideal. It might even be a good start towards building a tool kit if you are starting out (they also do a 3/8" and 1/2" set).I have mine to keep in the car. Useful for any breakdowns or if you happen to be out and about somewhere and 'just need' to grab a tool. This will most likely have what you need and saves carrying a full (large and heavy) tool kit about with you.

This is a very neat little ratchet set that feels solid and well made in the hand. To give an idea of scale, the ratchet tool itself is just 9cm long.I'll describe the drive options here since it's hard to tell from the pictures and description... the ratchet itself has a 1/4 inch female hex socket, nicely magnetised to hold your bits firmly in place. Most of the bits in the set are 1/4 inch hex screwdriver bits and fit directly into the ratchet. There is an adapter that is male 1/4 hex to male 1/4 inch square. This allows you to use the hex sockets (the black ones) that are 1/4 inch female square drive. On the right is an extension bit holder into which you can fit the 1/4 inch hex bits (or the adapter). The extension socket is also magnetised and has a spring loaded retention collar for extra security.So when it is described as "1/4 inch square drive" that is true when the adapter is plugged in. It's not a native 1/4 inch square drive and there's no way to use all the bits with a native 1/4 inch square drive tool (like a torque wrench), which I was hoping for. But never mind... I still can't fault this great little set.

Highly recommended, compact and very versatile...will fit most screw heads and nuts.

Great quality tools, sturdy but light, looks good too... ratchet feels smooth and small increments. Case could be a bit more solid for my liking, especially the really low-grade plastic clasp that keeps the clam-shell design closed, otherwise it would've been 5 stars.

Great little set for occasional use. all parts are well made and the case is good too. If you need a small 'bit' se you can't really go wrong

What a super piece of tool kit this is , it oozes quality , it as a small 1/4 drive socket , torx and screwdriver bits , if you have a motor cycle this ideal a very compact all in one tool kit .

Good set of bits, fits well, the ratchet feels good. Only issue I found is the adaptor doesn't work 100% when inserting the bits - overall nice tools.

This seems to be aimed as part of a motorbike tool kit,and it would be spot on for that,but I use it at work,and it really gets used,rachet seems strong,well happy with it

Statt DeWalt wurde wie erwartet Stanley geliefert; um so besser. IDieses zweite Set wurde als Geschenk für meinen Sohn angeschafft. Ich habe eine baugleiche Box seit ca. fünf Jahren im Dauer-Einsatz als kleines Bordwerkzeug im Motorrad-Tankrucksack und nur die 11er Nuß gegen 14er Nuß getauscht (habe in 30 Jahren Schrauberei noch nie eine 11er Nuß benötigt). Die Qualität ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben, auch die Box selbst ist robust gebaut und nahezu unkaputtbar. Das Packmaß des Werkzeugsatzes ist praktisch unschlagbar, auch im Vergleich zu den Mini-Sätzen von Wera, die nicht so gut wettergeschützt sind. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Per me è un ottimo prodotto e di buona qualità, l'ho testato subito con una vite di 13 e sono riuscito a svitarla e stringerla, certo le dimendioni ridotte impongono uno sforzo maggiore e forse si ha il dubbio di non riuscire a stringere in modo adeguato ma forse è meglio così perché in genere si tende a stringere più del necessario rovinando le viti stesse. Molto piccolo e quindi molto pratico in punti stretti. Molto bello da vedere, 2 pacchetti di sigarette praticamente! Gioiello!

Ob das Bitset von DeWalt oder Stanley (Aufdruck) kommt, bleibt sich gleich; ein Mutterkonzern.Der Bitsatz mit gängigen Bits und kleinen Nüssen gefällt mir jedenfalls richtig gut.Ich habe bislang nur wenige Bits und eine 10er Nuss probiert, es funktionierte wie erwartet sehr gut. Die Mini-Ratsche arbeitet sehr sauber.Die Box ist leicht zu öffnen und sicher zu schließen und Bits und Nüsse sind übersichtlich angebracht und deren Größe im Deckel der Box ordentlich bezeichnet. Auch der Bithalter ist in Ordnung.Aus meiner Sicht kann ich dieses Set nur empfehlen.
