EXACTLY what the dealership SHOULD sell, but doesnt.
THIS IS ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! THE ID.4 has an odd licenseplate mount and VW doesnt sell it, so the dealerships dont have it. Odd, but I think the design must be around a european standard or something. If you have one, you know what I am talking about. This is a 3d printed product that was built by someone who knew what was up. If your dealership drilled your bumper to install US plates...shame on them. Build quality appears strong but it is a 3d printed product, not injection molded so over time we will find out how strong it is, but for now i couldn't be happier.

Simple and well thought out
I got an updated version that didn't match the photo. It looks like the top mounts are reinforced with more material, and the brand name is now debossed in the back instead of the front.Took 30 seconds to install and everything about the fit and finish are great. Sure I'd prefer a molded part that didn't have 3D printing surface finish, but clearly 3D printing is what allows there to be such a niche product in the first place. It's a travesty that VW doesn't have a similar part and instead subjects thousands of ID.4's rear plate mount locations to the whims of rushed service techs. Not to mention that their plastic self tapping screws in the bumper will give you a limited number of plate swaps. This mount uses Nylock nuts in the frame, so you should be able to replace/swap plates as often as you need to without concern. We'll see if the Nylock keeps them from loosening, if they do, then some semi-permanent threadlocker should work fine. The price is beyond reasonable. Other cottage brands are charging double or triple for what look to be lesser versions. This is a no brainer buy for anyone waiting to take delivery on an ID.4 if you can manage to keep your dealer from drilling into your bumper.

It is a perfect product. Thank you!
Wow! So nice when something is so simple, and so perfect, it a thing of beauty to just be exactly the thing needed and wanted and required... Just that. Nothing more and nothing less. That is Perfect! Thank you for making us this item! You should market it to VW.... I would have been just a little happier with my first new car ever if the dumb dealer had not drilled, no I'm sorry, not drilled, but just in a lazy junky way screwed into my pristine new and immaculate bumper. It is mine! You are just the delivery service! Do not put unrequested and unrequited and unnecessary screw holes in my bumper! At least ask me first! Anyway, I love it!

Far better than drilling into the rear of the car.
This uses mounting points that are already on the car. Why drill others? Best investment we've made for mounting the license plate.

Works Great!
2023 Id.4 pro s.Bracket works perfectly except for theminor issue of the factory mounting screwheads being a tiny bit larger than the shaftthey have to fit down. Rounded off thescrew heads and it's perfect!

Didn't work
The rear holder didn't work on my 2024 VW Pro S. The front holder (sold separately) worked fine.

Worked perfectly
Worked perfectly for my 2023 ID.4 AWD Pro S. The screws were pretty tight to get down the channel to mount it (tight tolerance), but went right in once they were in place.
