Looks good and very practical.
Silly price for a laundry bag but it looks good and is very practical. The interior has a plastic coating that is damp proof and snag free. The bottom is a thin sheet of black textured plastic that holds the bag in shape and is ok to put on damp grass. A definite plus point that the plastic bottom is part of the construction and not an insert which comes loose and offers a hidey hole for dirt and small items. There is a metal rim sewn into a casing at the top of the bag. Being Brabantia I am pretty sure this will be a good quality metal, perhaps stainless steel, and won't rust. It feels very strong.UPDATE1.5 years later my basket is still perfect. I told my daughter about it and how good it was and she, of course, ignored me. Several months later I got a phone call telling me she'd discovered this really good laundry basket... grrr! And what made it even worse is that she has bought several for use in the car and around the home. I think she ought to buy me another one as an apology. The fabric sides are substantial so that bag stays up when I put it on the floor to empty the machine. I like that it collapses so it doesn't hog shelf space in my laundry cupboard. It seems well made and should last well. Also it looks a lot better than brightly coloured plastic and when you have to do such a boring horrible job as the washing it does help to have pleasant well made items.Overall I am very pleased that I splashed out and bought this bag. It would make a good bag for the boot of the car as well and would be perfect for muddy boots. If I was rich enough I'd buy several for general use around the house.

Helpful and compact
As an adult I’ve always lived in a flat so have never bothered with a laundry basket (lack of storage space, and it’s never far to go to/from the washing machine), but after one too many trips picking up socks etc. that had fallen on the floor en route I finally decided to treat myself, and I wish I’d done it sooner! This laundry basket is the perfect size for one load of laundry in my machine (standard size). Its waterproof layer inside ensures wet items don’t soak through to carpet etc. underneath, and it flattens down easily and neatly so I can tuck it away in a cupboard. It’s great!

Great Baskets
I already had the smaller size of these, having replaced the rubber collapsable ones that my dachshund decided to eat it's way through (think the smell of the rubber was appetising to him.). I liked those, they fit so well in the cupboard that I wanted to find an alternative that he would leave well alone. The small ones are good, but a bit to small for my needs. I ordered these when they were on offer, which is good as originally I'd have paid nearly 75 for 2! These costs me half that. I like this also more than the small ones, because of the bamboo handles, it makes them more sturdy and easier to carry washing in. I also think they can be used as alternative solutions, not just washing baskets. I am thinking of using the small ones I replaced these with, as shopping baskets as well as you could keep them in your boot, they won't take up space and then if like me you do scan and shop, you could put them in the trolley fill as you go, then just lift into and out of boot. You can easily get a full load of washing in this size. I can't comment on durability, as I haven't had them long enough to know how long they are likely to last. As they are cloth, but lined, unlike normal washing baskets, I wouldn't leave these outside once washing is pegged out, just in case as I worry they may start to go mouldy.

Good looking, practical and value for money
Ok, it's a bit pricey but it's worth every penny. it looks good, it's well made, it can be used for wet or dry washing indoors or outdoors. It's easy to clean, easy to fold away and easy to carry thanks to the bamboo rim and the useful handle in the middle. It accommodates a generous 40 litres of washing or ironing and has multiple uses eg as a storage box for paper, magazines or toys.. It's also covered by a 2 year guarantee. I use it to keep my ironing in which keeps my living room looking tidy. I love it. Highly recommended.

Best washing basket
Really like this, attractive, easy to use, easy to fold down, and lightweight. It looks so nice I leave it out in the utility room

Perfect for my small house
The media could not be loaded. I lived into a small two bed so didn’t have room for a regular laundry basket any more.I looked for ages for something collapsible before I found this.It does the job perfectly. Squishes down and fits down the side of my fridge then easily comes back into shape.Good and sturdy, can hold a couple of loads.Sort of damp proof although it wouldn’t survive getting soaked.

A Laundry Basket That Can Take a Stare
I've finally waved goodbye to those fragile plastic laundry baskets that seemed to crack if you even glanced their way.The bamboo top adds a touch of elegance and seems to whisper, "Go ahead, pile on the dirty laundry, I can handle it." The body of the basket feels durable, a pleasant change from the usual 'handle-with-care' vibe I got from my old ones that would just shatter while trying to take your fingers with them. Now, I'm not saying it's indestructible – I haven't put it through a laundry apocalypse, after all. But it's definitely holding its own against the weekly barrage of clothes for a family of four.In all seriousness, it looks and feels durable, but as we all know, only time can truly tell. So far, so good, though. Here's to hoping it continues to stand tall amidst the socks and shirts of my household without throwing in the towel.I think I'm going to buy another one, but the only thing holding me back is thought of spending another £24.99 on something so mundane.
