They turned out to be like all other oil pastels
Never having used this brand before, I was interested in trying them. They turned out to be like all other oil pastels, with the exception of Sennelier. Don't waste money on any other brand - better five or six Sennelier, than a whole box of the others!

High lightfast ratings / mainly matches the Pablo pencil colour range (which are not all lightfast)
This make of pastels have high lightfast ratings which I need. Only about 3 in the entire 90+ range are ‘good’ the others are all ‘excellent’.The colour palette is the same for most of the Caran D’ache Pablo pencils (which aren’t all lightfast) so that would be an easy set to colour match for finer details. Even with this smaller selection, you can still get a huge range, so this is a good starting point.I find Neopastels easy to apply and, if I don’t go too thick, I can layer over with most of the top lightfast pencils eg Caran D’Ache Luminance, Derwent Lightfast, Faber Castell Polychromos, Lyra Polycolor etc.Neopastels blend well enough with baby oil - I’m looking for a more eco friendly liquid for when I’ve eventually used it up.
